I've been dieting/cutting for about 6 months now and as any beginner I saw great results at first. I've tried to maintain a healthy diet and drinking lots of water with a steady workout routine. I've dropped 56 lbs since then but I've gotten stuck at my current weight for over a month now.

I've read posts and checked calculations for calories for cutting, bulking and maintaining. I wanted to find out how accurate those are on average. I'm starting to think I'm not taking in enough calories and my body is refusing to drop any more weight. My strength gains have stopped and holding steady, which I was expecting since I'm not taking in enough calories to gain muscle and get any kind of growth. My goal is to drop another 40 lbs or so, then start hitting a bulking cycle. I wanted to make sure I had most of the fat off before I started cramming the food down and bulking up.

My current calorie intake is around 2000 a day. Sometimes closer to 1700, other days closer to 2200. Is this to little? I currently weigh 268 and holding. I checked a post from Jodi and the calories for cutting about between 10 and 13 calories per pound. With those calculations, I should be taking in between 2700 and 3510 per day. *UGH*

Anyway, just wanted to get some opinions out there.

Thanks!

H
