Say like a sunday you sit down on your computer all day. This would mean you are burning shit for calories. Should you continue with your daily regimen?? or cut the cals by say 200-300? im sitting down all day today playing an online game..so far ive followed my regular sunday plan which is a no carb day .

you analyze things way too much.

I don't know. How many reps of button pushing are you doing a minute?

LOL i know i analyze too much ... im sitting here installing battlefront..taking a while..my mind goes very far with the simpliest of things..but im just curious

I'll have to light heartedly disagree. I don't think you're splitting hairs.

In cases like that, I would try to either use a BW* X method (somewhere in the 15-18 range) to find maintenance, then add/subtract appropriatly to suit your bulk/cut goals. That way you can estimate your low, medium, and high activity days.

Or there is the longer route of using RMR/BMR.

I would opt for the bodyweight method, using a lower value of X on off days.

To keep it really simple I'd just do maintenance. (And that is what alot of us do. After all there should only be 1 or so off days per week, meaning non cardio)

well im 198--so maintnence is 2600. ANd ive been taking in 2300 a day .. im cutting . So today ill up the cals???

Posted by: sentricyphen

2300???

that's way too low.

I would have a hard time believing that your maintenance was lower than BW*15.

That is what females cut on.

And no, dont up the cals, sorry, I was thinking of bulking when I said that, since I have been.

Keep a consistent defecit (save for a carb cycle).

If you want to be technical, then try to calculate your low activity day maintenance. Still keep the 500 defecit.

Sorry for the confusion.

For cutting you want to aim around 2300.

as long as its no more than a lb a week.

slow metabolism i guess.

And then you say you have no time to research things on your own. http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/sh...&highlight=bmr

I agree with bullet. You are over analysing things.

If your diet and training regimen is enabling you to loose about 1 to a max of 2 lb per week, then it is working. Stick with it and give it time. And dont try to fix whats not broke.
