cheat day question?

On cheat days do we still have to stay within our alowed caloric range or can we go over it wthout sabotaging the fat loss goals? And if we can go over it, by how much?

cheat day is just what it says. eat whatever you want to get the cravings out of your system. it is especially helpful to those new to "fitness." going from eating doritos to tuna doesnt sound appealing to most people. it usually sets them up for failure without a day to just "get away." it all depends on how new you are to this and how bad your body is craving the chocolate. if you need the whole day, dont worry about calories. if 1 cheat meal will satisfy your cravings, just cheat on 1 meal. obviously it will hinder your fat loss, but setting 1 day aside for it is better than cheating every day. all of this imho.

There has to be a caloric limit though right? I mean I can eat all the calories I've lost during the week and therefore not loose anyting. So what should be the limit?

whatever satisfies your cravings. dont go on a binge but pick the favorite foods that you miss.

if fat loss is your goal, keep that in mind while you are eating the double stuff oreos. the less of them you eat the better it will be for your goals. rewarding yourself for your hard work is also important though and is a great thing to look forward to.

not sure if this is right or not, but isnt it true that your body can only digest so many calories at once? Therefore if he had a cheat meal of say o idk 2,000+ calories....it wouldnt all be digested and the remains would just be pooped out?

your body can digest whatever is put into the GIT...how much of those nutrients are utilized is a completely different story...

SO much sugar, those are so good though. Next time you're around a camp fire, toss in a DS oreo. They literally burn for days.

Ummmm....I always thought of it as a "Cheat Meal" and not a "Cheat Day". So, one meal a week in lieu of one day a week. However, I guess it all depends on your goals and your discipline level.

on a cheat day i still get 3 good meals in, & never cheat on the gram per pound of bodyweight with the protein
