First of all, congrats to the Sox and their fans, I am a HUGE Cardinals fan, I think both teams are a great match-up, however I will predict the Cards in 6

Posted by: CaptainDeadlift

Cards in 3.

Posted by: gr81

the cards don't have the pitching that boston does, even thou I would like to see st louis win. I love Pujols

I'm in chicago now, so i'll be screaming come saturday with a bunch of jealous cubs fans.

I'm going to back CT sunday, to watch my Pats kick NY ass and watch the Sox at night.

Can sports POSSIBLY be any better for me now? UConn Natl Champs, Pats Superbowl champs and 20wins in a row, and the ssox in the series. oh ya, i know how it can get better......SOX WIN

It's not over till it's over, however if my Cards do not take at least 2 out of the 3 at home, I will be PRETTY worried. On a side note, I hate to say it because they are my team. But, if the Cards cannot take advantage of the many errors then maybe they do not want it as bad as the Sox do. Either way, Iv'e already had many laughs from the base running by Marquis ( ) to the slide catch attempt by Ramirez( ) No matter how this turns out, It's been a fun ride for Cardinal nation!!!

Posted by: SPIKE1257

The cards are dead.. Boston makes 8 errors in 2 games, and win them both.. Did you see Manny the other nite trying to do a sliding catch ? His cleat gets caught in the grass, and he tumbles and misses the ball.. LMAO

Posted by: I Are Baboon

The Cards did not win 105 games for nothing this year. Boston going to St Louis means several things:

1) David Ortiz is going to have to play 1st base. Clearly that weakens the Sox defense.
2) Pedro's ERA is about 1.5 runs higher on the road.
3) The Sox were barely a .500 team away from Fenway this year
4) Red Sox pitchers are going to have to hit.

This series is FAR from over.

A math major huh? dude, if they don't take 2 out of three, their OUT. They are down 2 nothing, 2 more losses is it!

Yea, but they had no problem taking the last 2 at Yankee stadium.

Posted by: SPIKE1257

Wouldn't it be funny if the Sox won the first 3, then dropped the last 4..

How lucky can Pedro be with the bases loaded and 1 out and he gets a short fly and dumbass Walker tried to score?

Posted by: soxmuscle

I can't say it will be this easy, personally I think the Cards win the next two, but nonetheless, the fact that the Red Sox are one win away is like a one week long orgasm.

Yum.

Yeah man, I was hoping the Sox would take at least one IN St Louis, and they have done that.

These morning radio guys on ESPN fuckin piss me off. The Sox are up 3-0, and listening to these guys talk you'd think the Sox were down in the series.

Still one more game to win, and if ANY team knows that you can't let up, it's these Red Sox.

Pedro was frikkin SENSATIONAL last night!!!!

Posted by: Pepper

Sox are kicking ass. I am totally surprised.

IAB, mike and MIKE do seem to be blaming the Cards more than crediting the Sox.

I like those guys, but they are being very negative with their World Series commentary. All they want to talk about are the Red Sox errors in games 1 and 2, how Curt Schilling won't shut up about his ankle, how St Louis has squandered chances, and how the Sox can blow the series. Almost NO mention and no credit being given to the Red Sox pitchers, who have been nothing short of fantastic in the series so far.

Posted by: Pepper

OK, OK but you have to admit that Schilling is talking about his ankle a little too much.

Posted by: I Are Baboon

Agreed. But I'm not complaining. I don't think Curt's comments need to be the topic of a four hour radio talk show though.

Awesome avatar.

Posted by: calalily1972

I haven't been listening to all the commentary. I've been watching the games from school or work At least I get to still see the games.

You're lucky the games start at a reasonable hour on the west coast. I've watched every Red Sox postseason game in its entirety so far and I have the bloodshot eyes to prove it. Of course, living in New England you get to experience the MANIA that is going on right now surrounding the Red Sox.

is it nuts or what?

if, actually, i should say when, the Sox win it all, i seriously may consider never watching sports again.

UConn are nat'l champs. Pats are Superbowl champs and have won 21 in a row, and the Sox would be champs.

i could die happy

Well you still need the Celtics to win, right?

I'm tired of people around here saying they want to see the Sox win it at home. FUCK THAT. Why risk blowing the lead? Wrap this World Series up and don't screw around.
