If you don't take good care of her, somebody else will. That's the word from researchers at Bradley University in Illinois. According to their study, half of people surveyed have attempted to steal somebody else's mate. The best way to hang on to your girl: make sure she feels like she's in a committed, secure, fulfilling relationship. "Mate-poachers" are more likely to succeed if the current relationship was weak or falling apart, says study author David Schmitt, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology. "Your best bet to lower the possibility of her being enticed away is to satisfy your partner's desires." Even if that means dressing up like a cabana boy every once in a while.
