college football player d-bol/test

i started the post and got replies about my d-bol/test cycle and now have some related questions.....im 21 and play college football. right now i am 207lbs and play outside linebacker. i want the mass first and foremost. prefererably to about 225-230, but i cant afford to lose much 40 time either. what else can i do to keep my speed up while keeping my newly acquired mass on? lots of stretching etc. also many guys have taken steroids at school and then soon after tore mcl/acl/miniscus...and rumors are because steroids weaken ligaments, and the new muscle mass from steroid cycles over power your ligaments in the cutting and twisting motions...is this true? thanks again

do you have any shot at going to the NFL? Are you at a division I college? Are you a starter? If not, why waste you time.

Watch your diet so you gain mostly LBM and not tons of fat, voila.

Cortisol suppression can be dangerous for your body, but in most peoples cases, high volume training, extended durations of heavy weight lifting, fast strength gains - are going to be the main components of stress to joints and connective tissues.

some steroids increase collagen synthesis (EQ) while others decrease it (test). winstrol for example increase collagen synthesis and increases the cross-sectional area of tendons making them bigger, but conversely it also makes those same tendons more brittle.

this is where knowing how to mix and match steroids and how to tailor your training regimine comes into play. most people do not know enough to take into account all of these factors which is why so many under-educated people injury themselves while using gear...

but in regards to your comment about injury to mcl/acl/miniscus there are no medical studies that show that steroid use specifically increases injury to these areas of the body. the most common injuries seen by steroid users occur to the shoulder girdle...

What would be a good source to learn more about these issues? I plan to do a test cycle soon, and have been concerned that I might injure myself because of previous problems with week connective tissue.

i use a four day training split
monday chest/triceps
tuesday cardio/speed drills
wednesday back/biceps
thursday legs
friday cardio/speed drills
saturday delts/traps/shoulders
sunday off

Looks alright to me, except I wouldn't do speed drills the day after legs.

6 days with no break? Football drills (if he's doing them right) are enormously taxing on the body...I don't know he he could recover from that with one day a week off

Very taxing indeed. But, 21 years old + juice = quick recovery. I don't know everything that speed drills consist of. Hopefully, he eats right and gets 8-9 hours of sleep a night.

If you have existing problems, you are asking for trouble. With the increase in strength, comes the urge to lift heavier. You can't resist it, then you get popped. Be careful.
