Please provide some constructive criticism for me. Im bulking and lift 3-4 time a week and I am starting basketball soon so throw in a couple hours of intense cardio and you have my workout. This is before basketball though. I'm 17 and weigh 170 and probably have 8-12 percent body fat. The focus of my diet has been trying to get at least 30grams of protien into each main meal and eating healthy carbs and staying away from fast food and junk. Any tips on how to keep up my strength and weight would be appreciated as well. God Bless.

Chili
Goolash
Ravioli with broccli and chicken
Stir Fry With out the souce
Turkey burgers

Mexican food
Pre-bead (Sometimes this gets skipped depending on if i had large dinner or not)
2 peanutbutter and banana wraps (low carb)
or two slices or toast with peanutbutter depending on what dinner was
Glass of ff milk
1/2 LF cottage cheese
Bulking or not, you need cleaner foods. I don't see many oats, sweet potatoes, fresh fruits, veggies, brown rice, healthy fats etc. Every diet needs those things.

Arent almonds and peanutbutter and fish oils healthy fats? Oh and I do use quite a bit of olive oil. Where do you think i should add the stuff you talked about? What would be an ideal lunch for me? Lunch is also my preworkout food.

also man if u do want to keep skeleton muscle dont eat a snack 3 hours later then an hour later eat an actual meal because it really doesnt do anything but make u feel bloated

I don't think that diet is too bad. Thats probably pretty good for a 17 year old, considering you probably go to school and I know how much of a bitch that can be to eat right.
Ditch the cookies, high fructose fruits and candy and you should be fine.

I was thinking it wasn't too bad at all for a 17 yr old. My son's diet is which Fast Food Place can he stop at.

Its definitely tough for me to eat right all the time but I know I have to. I am bombarded by junk food and I think oh well they are eating it, it cant be that bad. But then I come back to reality and say "look at your body and look at their body." That helps me keep my focus. But ya I'll try to ditch the cookies. What fruits are high fructose?

Well, sweatshopchamp, all it takes is some exercise and plenty of time to turn that around. You should be able to have a say in what you want to eat. maybe one way is to buy your own food, or at least part of it. You could expect results from week 1 if you dedicate yourself to you quest of fitness. Making exercise entertaining.
Troubled teen??? This is the best title you could come up with?

All of them. haha
But seriously, swap out your fruits for oatmeal, brown rice, and sweet potatoes and I bet you will notice a difference. I always have less energy with fruit because I feel like it digests too fast and then I don't have any energy.
