well i am always wondering even tho ive been doing it for a long time but i wanna know what you guys do... im on a serious bulk and i always figured to consume like 500 cals in a meal like right now im making chicken fish and vlack rice and some mushrooms and onion and mixing it all together....it should be about 500 cals all together... is that enough or just fine or more than i should take in on a bulk ??

im also consuiming probobly about 3000 cals a day (high quality protein ofcourse)

total cals divided by number of meals.

you cant ask what everyone else does. everyones metabolism and maintanance cals are different. plus, some clean bulk and some eat everything in sight when bulking.

I understand that everybody has different bodies and metabolizes their foods at different rates...but it seems like no matter how many calories I eat, it's really, really hard for me to gain mass. I've been eating close to 3500-4000 calories a day for two weeks and I fluctuate in weight like a crazy man. When I wake up in the morning I can weigh in around 171 and by the end of the day, I might weigh 176...and then it's all gone by the next day. I understand that it might be water weight, but it's just really getting frustrating. I'm beginning to wonder if I should also go on a see food diet...you know, you see it, you eat it...

That doesnt seem like much food at all. So if you 'say' you are eating 3500+ cals and thats your diet, you may be off. Use www.fitday.com to track your cals. And you also may need to eat cleaner.

I wouldnt drink soy milk either(some will argue) but it has estrogenic properties.

I did miss a snack I had. I had an additional 2 eggs and 2 egg whites and another whole wheat bagel. I did calculate in fitday and I run anywhere from 3500 to 4000 calories in a day. Also, the only reason I drink soy milk is because I'm lactose intolerant Anyways, do you have a recommended bulk diet?

a 5 lb difference is the average weight flucation from AM to PM...the AM reading is the one to go by

if you are eating 3.5-4 K cals and not gaining weight then you simply need to increase cals by 10% each week until weight gain occurs...

Here is my diet, I will also substitute rice for sweet potato's. http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/sh...&postcount=616

You need to find what foods you enjoy, and do as LAM said. If you arent gaining, then eat more.

I eat 3.7-4K calories per day. 4 meals per day consist of 600 calories, my PWO meal is 500 calories, my pre-bed meal is 400 calories, I have a protein bar each day which I consider a meal at 400 calories, and I often have a snack of about 200-300 calories to maintain an anabolic state of being.

What about this? Is this true? So do you have any suggestions for the lactose intolerant? Cause just water and protein sorta tastes like crap .

I drink my protein in water. I use www.allthewhey.com brand.
