i have only been lifting 3 weeks. i work every muscle once a week. the first week i felt all my muscles get pretty sore within 24-48 hours and lasted several days. the 2nd and 3rd week i have noticed very little to no soreness at all. i am doing the same workout i did the first week when sourness was achieved. i am wondering if this is ok? why would all my muscle groups be sore the first week and none the weeks thereafter? nothing in my workout has changed.

Your muscles were exerted beyond what they were normally acustom to. As for the 2nd and 3rd weeks, either your muslces have adjusted to your routine, or you 2nd & 3rd weeks lacked the intensity of the 1st. Im doing to assume the first choice. It is normal for your muscles to be sore when your first start working out, or after a long layoff. It is also normal for you to have less soreness as long as you work all the muscle groups regularly.

nah in my opinion, its just signs of a good workout. Ive had sore biceps after a 4 set bicep workout. I hope 4 sets isnt overtraining

That would do it. I've been training hard for nearly a solid year now, and if I'm not sore after a workout, I feel I wasted it. I notice now that I stop getting sore after using the same routine for a few weeks. Add/Change a couple of exercises and you'll find that soreness all over again.
