When to cut?

Alright here's my current stats:

5' 11"
185lbs
12.5% Bf

My long term goal is to weigh 195lbs with about 7% bf. I cant decide whether I should keep bulking or I should cut first. Suggestions?

its all about personal preference ... what you are trying to achieve. i work with a guy who has bulked for like 3 years and hes getting big but also fat as hell. he isnt interested in cutting, he just wants to get big. it doesnt make sense to me. why work out if you are just going to look fat?

the muscle you build while bulking will burn calories for you.
on the other hand, bulking on top of fat just means more fat to cut later.

if i was 12% i would at least do a mini-bulk.

i prefer not to get to fat, but you could bulk to 195, then drop 5 then bulk to 200 then drop another 5

aztecwolf sure got a calculator to do that lol. it works right out to 195 and 7%
