I just received an email from my mom telling me about a distant relative who has prostate cancer. He was supplementing with flaxseed oil as the doctor, a prostate cancer survivor and specialist, said to stop immediately b/c flaxseed oil is a fertilizer for prostate cancer.
I did a search on this and found nothing. My mom is now all over me about dropping this supplement. Is there any evidence to support this? any counter-evidence?
Thanks/Pepper

Drink two to four cups of green tea a day.
Supplements
Take 200 mcg of selenium a day.
Take 400 IU of Vitamin E a day.
Take 30 mg of lycopene a day.
Lifestyle
Exercise for thirty to forty minutes at least three times a week.
Incorporate relaxation techniques like meditation into your daily life.

I wonder if this means you should avoid flaxseed oil while running cycles...or avoid it overall
