wt gainer at night??

I've started taking N-Large 2 from ProLab because I'm having trouble gaining muscle mass, I'll try it and see how it does. My question to everyone is, to follow my routine, I will go to the gym after work which is after 7 or 8pm. I work out for about 1hr and from what I read I should take the wt gainer after I work out. If I'm taking this at around 9pm I'm I just going to put on fat since I'm taking it 1-2 hrs before I go to bed or should I take it 1-2hrs before my workout.??

Weight gainers are full of sugar, in fact many of the carb sources in them are often 96% or so sugar.

That stuff is just crap.

I put on some slight weight from taking weightgainer its not bad just eat alot, I had a shake during breakfast and when I went to bed.

ditto...if you want to get lean or stay lean taking weight gainers at night will not get you there...your metabolism and insulin sensitivity both decrease at night, you should be eating as clean as possible at this time. plus having elelvated serum insulin levels before bed will supress GH release during sleep...

I agree, if you "have" to use them, do it in the early part of the day. Carbs should be lowered through the day if you want to avoid fat gains, especially high GI sugary products.

Wouldn't he benefit instead by using Casein protien before bed?
