It's got to suck to be an A's fan this week. Sorry man.

I can't stand when a franchise does that. As a 12 year old I almost cried when the Mets traded Tom Seaver, he was one of the best pitchers out there.
I dealt with that, then they dismantled the 1986 world champion Mets getting rid of Dykstra and other players, in return getting lousy selfish players. (Juan Samuel, Vince Coleman and B. Bonilla)
They keep getting old players who are past their prime. I just hope Pedro won't embaress himself next year.

I for one am glad, sorry. But you did get 2 pretty good pitchers in Haren, he can throw the heat, and Colero, pretty good middle reliever. Sorry again, but finally my Cardinals do somethin!!!

Why is he doing this?

Although I can't advocate trading Mulder until next offseason, you just have to consider what there rotation next season is going to be.

Zito, Blanton, Haren, Harden. That four-some might be even better than the big three of the last few years. Haren and Blanton are two players to keep your eyes on.

Haren will probably be the 5th starter and Meyer will be the 4th starter (who the A's got for Huddy)

I think the baseball owners need to take a page out of the hockey owner's game plan and just shut down the sport until they get a salary cap.

Fuck the player's union.

I dont buy that. It's not like because one owner makes a horrible move, that another owner has to become just as stupid. Money can be used wisely. I.E. the Chicago White Sox.

For once they didn't waste money on a scrub.

I have no idea what you are saying here. I am simply saying that the A's having to trade these guys is evidence that we need a cap.

I agree. It's very sad for the A's. The trading of Mulder and Hudson had nothing to do with baseball, it was strictly financial. You can't tell me there are a lot of A's fans that are happy to see two of their aces traded for prospects who may or may not turn into decent MLB pitchers.

That said, I think it is very possible the A's will have a stacked rotation again in a few years with these guys, but once again they'll have to dump them for salary reasons.

exactly..once these new pics becomes premium players they will demand superstar contracts which they deserve..but the A's wont be able to afford them and the cycle begins all over again

Its a vicious cycle for us That is why I don't buy jerseys with players names on the back other then the Chavez, and all 3 versions (Home,Away,Alt) of McGwire's A's jerseys.

It's more than self explanatory what I said. If the Yankees go out and give some shithead 10 million dollars, why do the A's have to go out and make a stupid decision aswell? We have all seen that winning can be done without payrolls over 100 million dollars.

With that being said, there isn't one fucking chance, not one, that a salary cap or a cap of any kind will be even remotely discussed, ever, ever, ever. Not one chance.

The revenue sharing in Major League Baseball sucks, I'll admit that, but baseball will live, and will never change how revenues are shared either, ever, ever, ever.

As far as im concerned, your post only wasted bandwith, because if you step into reality and open your eyes, like has been stated no cap will be made and nothing will be changed regarding revenue sharing.
