Do you train with music (i.e. CD or MP3 player)?

I just recently started doing this..and i have to say...it keeps me more focused and really gets me going with the right music. Blocks out unnecessary chatter like the tool who comes to the gym just to hit on chicks.

Have since college, prevents people from talking to me and thus saves time. Plus it pumps me up a bit too.

I Agree. It keeps me focused and helps to prevent distractions.

I just got an MP3 player a couple of weeks ago and use it when I train at my rec center.

Music or CNBC.

Yep, you can't beat a good MP3 player. No moving parts.

I bought this one: http://www.flash-memory-store.com/sa...mp3-512mb.html

Yeah, i just caved and bought a 20GB iPod... I've got 800 songs on it already...and it's by far been my best investment into my workouts in quite a while...save for my gym fees..

same thing...sometimes I even wear my MP3 player with it turned off to avoid having to talk to people..

I used to not bother with it...especially b/c I don't like anything attached to me during my workouts (unless its Pam Anderson).

However, since moving to my new gym, where they play the worst music ever, I got an MP3 and use it at every workout.

Since I train at home no one bothers me during my workouts. Some of my friends like loud hard rock or heavy metal. Me, I'm satisfied with with Light Jazz.

Peace

When i go the gym , it is all business!! I will put on my MP 3 ,blast my heavy metal/hard rock music and i will in the ZONE . I see no one but the weights and train like there's no tomorrow!!!

hell yea..i got the 20gig ipod too...im havin trouble filling it with the 20,000 songs it can hold though..im up to 300

Yep, I am so used to it now that if I accidentally forget it it throws me off my workout a bit. It's a great deterrent for preventing being pestered when training, it allows you to give the fleeting smile and nod and stay with the program.

hmmm wonder where i can get the best deal in a store. My roommate pays his
rent to me in cash and my bank is like 1500miles away.

I take my boom box and start pop lockin'.

Regular MP3 player with a 256MB flash card.

Definately, I love working out with my mp3 player .

Heh, heh, heh... no moving parts is the way to go! I just have a hard time finding good songs. Sometimes there's too many from which to choose and then when I have the opportunity to choose I don't think of any good ones... :-/

I bought an mp3 awhile back because the gym music sucks. I love it. I still get a few people who want to talk to me which pisses me off.

I workout at home and I usually play a cd in my cd player or listen to the radio, but when I do cardio I go outside and bring a headset radio thing.
