one of the best teams ever?...

It's ok, We'll see what they all have to say after they win their 3rd Superbowl in 4 years.

They play great as a team, not as an individual team IE Randy Mose.

Tom Brady is a very underrated Quarterback in my opinion. All the guy knows how to do is not commit turnovers and wins. What more can you ask?

But on a final note I WANT THE STEELERS TO KICK THEIR ASS!

Posted by: dg806

I think the Colts got out coached Sunday.............

Posted by: I Are Baboon

The Steelers will be lucky to stay within two touchdowns Sunday. And that's not a knock on the Steelers, it's just that the Pats are that much better than them.

The Colts got pretty much out-everythinged.

No respect, their giving 3 to the Steelers next Sunday.

I wouldn't put them as the best team ever, the 49ers from way back still come to mind at least in my mind.

That article was heavily slanted. I don't think that no one thought the Pats could win, just that it was going to be tough, and it was up until the 3rd quarter, the half ended at 6-3.

The Steelers of the '70's.

ya, but the Chris Mortenson article isn't biased as Mort isn't from Boston

Posted by: Flex

IMO the best team ever is the '86 Bears and the present-day Pats

I didn't read all of that one as I didn't feel like regiswtering.

The '86 Bears were a great team, remember the Super Bowl Shuffle and Refrigerator Perry. Classic.

Posted by: I Are Baboon

It's the 85 Bears. And I agree they are one of the best ever.

The colts were capable of doing more than that to the Pats. They have the best offense in the league. Their D let them down and the right offensive plays were not called. That is why I said coached. But for some reason, they freeze when thew play NE.

Good defense always stops a good offense.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Sure, the Colts were capable of doing more than that on O, but they DIDN'T.
Sure, their D could've played better, but they DIDN'T and the Pats O just kept driving.
The right plays not called? Okay, that's just ridiculous. Enough of the Monday Morning Offensive Coordinating.

In sports, when it all comes down to it, it's who made the plays during the game, not who coulda did this or shoulda did that.

Jet's COULDA been in the AFC Championship game had the kicker not missed.
Shit, the Rams COULDA been in the AFC championship had they not lost by 30 pts.

Let me just reiterate this point for all you proffesional couch sports analysts.

Peyton Manning actually calls his own plays, so you can not blame the coaching if the wrong plays were called. Blame Peyton Manning.

Posted by: soxmuscle

The Patriots dominated the Colts in every aspect of the football game. The game was over before it had even started. All I can say is, its fun getting to school and collecting all the money you stole from people who tune into Sportscenter and see what Sean Salisbury picks and then uses what he says as there knowledge.

Well I got news for all of those people. Sean Salisbury has yet to pick a playoff game right. He is an absolute joke, as is all the other quote on quote experts.

Sean Salisbury sucks and is a stupid asshole.

FLEX, lol u have a huge ego. enuff about the patriots..wait for a few years when they stop winning and then come on here saying they are the best ever

Posted by: Jodi

When the Pat's sucked ass years back, I still thought they were the best team. Any NE team, to me is the best team. Same reason I've been a Sox fan forever.

Why would Flex brag if the Pats were sucking? Being a fan through the hard times allows you to brag when your team is on top. Being a Rams fan, I went through 10 years of pain in the 90's, which has allowed me to brag the past five years (granted, they are heading in the wrong direction once again).

Imagine what I will be allowed to do IF the Seahawks ever do anying?

Been a fan since 1981...yep, nearly 25 years of SUCK.

Posted by: Pepper

I remember many years ago when the Seahawks and Patriots both sucked. Seattle played the Pats in Foxboro and beat them late in the season. Sooooooo...the Pats got the #1 pick and the Seahawks got #2....

The Pats took Bledsoe and the Hawks took, Rick Mi ...Rick Mir...I can't say it...ok..Rick Mirer.

Why couldn't they lose that game?

Posted by: fantasma62

They got my respect....from a humbled Dolphins fan

Yeah, but at least the Seahawks have...uhhhh....at least they were able to.....shit, what have they done in the last 25 years?

A fan is a fan no matter what. Thats why they are called a fan. I'm right there with you Baboon. Does royally suck though to see them go in the wrong direction!!!

Obviously success is the best part of being a fan, but I find it just so fun when you watch a young team build to stardom. This Patriots team grew before our eyes, its truly an exciting feeling when you finally get to that point.

There is a joy to that. I can remember watching the young Met team from the 80's grow a few young guys throuhg the farm system like Daryl, Gooden, Dykstra and Backman. Makes winning it all that much better.

Take my "ego" and stick it up your
Your mistaking an "ego" with being passionate and proud...

I have EVERY right to be proud of my team, and since i'm SO passionate, and its the heart of football season, sure, i'll let everyone know about it.

The reasons i'm so proud are obvious, and yet, not so obvious....
They are one of the best teams EVER (will be the best if they win this year's SB). They do nothing but sonsistently win in a time where parity in the NFL is the highest it's ever been. In the decades leading up to the '90's, only a few teams dominated for years on end. Now, ANYONE can have a good year. Looks at the last 5 years worth of SB's. Giants and Ravens make it one year, the next year they suck. Bucs and Raiders make it, the next year they suck. Carolina makes it, and they don't make the playoffs (although they started off terribly and came on of late). The ONLY team close to be considered consistent in winning is Philly, and THEY HAVENT EVEN WON ANYTHING. They make it to the NFC championship and win the East year after year cuz their division sucks.

2 SB's in 3 years, maybe 3 of 4. 2 losses in 30 games. No superstars. All classy proffesionals. Through big injuries, getting no respect, ALLS THEY DO IS WIN, AND THEY'RE MY TEAM.

THAT'S WHY I TALK ABOUT THE PATRIOTS.

Baseball is obviously the best. Going to see the kids play in Pawtucket, Sarasota, formerly Trenton. Going down to Ft. Myers to check out all the kids in action.

It is awesome.

Posted by: dg806

I still say NE would not be where they are without Bilachek.

Posted by: min0 lee

Bilachek is a great head coach, I should know he was the defensive coach for the Giants when they were good.

Posted by: maniclion

The niners will always be the best in my book just because I was growing up learning to love the game as they were smoking the comp.

I love the Pat's and the Sox and I will forever be a lifetime fan but I'm not stupid.

When your team is good it's the best to brag and carry on and I love every moment of it but when your team sucks, it sucks LOL, but a true fan sticks with them no matter how good or bad they are.

you got it, Madden.

Posted by: Iceman

I'm sorry, but if you do not think the patriots are the best team ever, you are not thinking objectively. The two most common teams people think would beat them are the 9ers and Cowboys, both great offenses. But are those offenses any better than the Colts had??? NOPE.

You put Bill Belligenius against any team and he will dismantle every strength they have and completely wear you down. The Patriots have the equivalent of Joe mantana at QB right now, they have a kicker who has made more clutch kicks than anyone in history, and they have the absolute smartest players ever. If you have not graduated from college, the patriots don't even consider having you on their team.

Patriots are a class act organization and the best team ever. I have never in my life had so much confidence in a team, it's actually kind of boring, but in the end, I love it.

The 9ers of way back are far superior to the Colts of now. I would rate the teams as follows. 1)49ers of the 80's, 2)Cowboys of the 90's, 3)Tie Pats of present and the Steel Curtain of the 70's. The Pats have won 2 Superbowls in 3 years, they have still yet to win this year and it will be a battle if they do, but I am rooting for them.

Tom brady is no Joe Montana.

WRT Football, college education means dick.

This is coming from a Pats fan, BTW.

exactly Tom Brady is by the far and will never be one of the greates qb's ever..he doesnt have the drive like montana or young..he comes great playoff time but he just doesnt perform as well..im not dissin brady...good quarterback..but he will never be in the same class as young or montana

Posted by: Iceman

Steve Young now???? what do you work for SF??? Steve Young wasn't that great, Jerry Rice MADE Young and Montana, give me a break. Brady plays steps it up during the playoffs you say, so a 14-2 record is just average right??? Compare the stats and put them on the board, we'll see what's up then.

Posted by: Dale Mabry

I don't think anyone here believes that Brady's numbers compare to Montana or Youngs, he has been in the league like 4 years.

Personally I think he will turn out far better than Young, but I don't know so much about Montana.

Posted by: Goodfella9783

All those QB's have better #'s than Brady. But Brady has the record. When all said and done, I want the guy with the best overall record on my team, period (and 2 superbowls to boot). I don't care if your QB breaks 10 records in one season, that doesn't mean sh**. Go Pats

I disagree with you. Take out the comeback. IMO he is the greatest QB ever. Period.

Montana was great. He even played good with the Chiefs, and they were a bad team if I recall. Was it the Chiefs?

Yes it was the Chiefs.
