I usually take a day off from lifting after two straight days, but I might play hockey or go biking that third day. I'd say I do nothing every 4th or 5th day.

2-on 1-off 2-on 2-off:

Lift Monday and Tuesday

Off Wednesday

Lift Thursday and Friday

Off Saturday and Sunday

I do cardio Tuesday, weights on Wednesday Saturday and Sunday. So its one day off, two days on and then two days off.

I have a 4 day lifting split: train 2 days, take a day off, train two more take one day off and throw in a sport or physical activity with the kids on the 7th day...

works out pretty good having weekend as rest even tthough i work sometimes and haveing wednesday to relax

Lift - Monday, Thursday, Saturday
Cardio (HIIT) - Tuesday, Friday, and every other Sunday

I don't do resistance training more than two days in a row. My current split looks like this:

Monday: Squat/Deadlift ME
Wednesday: Bench Press ME
Thursday: Squat/Deadlift DE
Saturday: Bench Press DE

After we bid on our new schedules at work, and I hopefully get Friday and Saturday off, then it will be:

Monday: Squat/Deadlift ME
Wednesday: Bench Press ME
Friday: Squat/Deadlift DE
Saturday: Bench Press DE

Also, I usually do some muscular endurance exercises or cardio on 1-3 of my days off each week.
