I read on somewhere on another site that if you want to bulk up you shouldnt eat more than 3 eggs a day... why is this? cholesterol? they didnt specify on egg whites or whole eggs.... im assuming whole eggs... would there be anything wrong with eating like 8 edd whites a day?

Egg white are good for you cutting or bulking. Eat up!

Egg Yolks, other than the fact that they contain 5G of fat per whole one there is nothing wrong with them. Dietary cholesterol has no effect on blood cholesterol.

So blood cholesterol comes from saturated fats then, right?

No not at all. Dietary cholesterol has no effect on blood cholesterol! IOW - the cholesterol you eat doesn't raise your blood cholesterol. Here, check this out.

Homer : Now you have to let me in, that sandwhich should have killed you by cholesterol!
Lenny : while it has been proven eggs do contain cholesterol it hasn't been proven it actually raises the serum cholesterol in the blood stream.

Eggs are perfectly fine for everyday consumption.

Interesting, I felt a little discomfort when breathing in my chest today, and I thought it was because the cholesterol I have been getting from all the eggs I am eating on a daily basis. Thanks Jodi.

Bump on Jodi's advise - for most individuals your blood cholesterol levels have little to do with what you eat.

However - if you have a family history of high cholesterol OR if you personally have high cholesterol then you should limit your dietary sources of cholesterol and look into things that can help correct the problem (things such as good daily exercise/cardio, poly and mono unsaturated fats, whole grains and soluble fibers can all be beneficial...).

As far as how many eggs you can eat - It is up to you... I know people who limit themselves to one or two whole eggs a day. Others I know eat up to 8!!

Personally - due to the fat content I limit the number I eat as I like to get my fat sources from other things.

I think you are talking about blood pressure here...

And no - your values are perfectly acceptable. There is many things that can alter BP (fitness, exercise, how much water you have drunk, alcohol, coffee) and with individual variation and other things happening (some people just have lower blood pressure) you have nothing to worry about with that level.

You should only be concerned if you started to get SYMPTOMS of low blood pressure.

As Emma said, that is blood pressure and it varies per person. All my life I've had blood pressure that's 90's/50's and that is perfectly normal for me. Your range is perfect so don't worry about that.

My BP is like 135/70. Is that bad? I'm 6'7 285.

That looks ok.

Your blood pressure is not really considered to be high 140/90 and even though your systolic (top) value is close to high, it is the bottom value (diastolic) that you most have to be concerned over.
