well from 1st hand experience watching mark and jose while i was growin up..u cant believe everything that comes out of jose's mouth..he's an idiot who happens to have a knack for crushing a baseball

For whatever it's worth, I always liked Jose as a ballplayer. I watch baseball to be entertained, and Jose delivered.

jose just wants another buck. the dude is probably broke and needs money. last year he tried to go to open tryouts with a florida mlb team just to promote the book he was writing. he is a waste of talent. their coach while both were in oakland publicly said jose had more talent and was a better student of the game. mark was better in the end because he took better care of his body. either way mark will be remembered for his home runs, jose will be remembered for his blunders. both on and off the field

There's NO doubt he's doing this as a way to make $, but is that a crime? Don't judge the fuckin' guy cuz he's doing what EVERY single other person in his situation would do....take advantage of a $ making opportunity in pro sports.

Is he a dick for "ratting out" his teammates? Absolutely not. Loyalty in pro sports went out the window with free agency. The guy is broke, and he's taking advantage of the gov't and media's ridiculous anti-steroid campaign.

Besides, it's not like people didn't ALWAYS know these guys were juicing. Shit, steroids weren't even "illegal" til this past year, when the media decided to make it a big deal. People are just hypocrits cuz they WANNA see the HR's and enormous players, so they looked the other way. But as soon as GW says it's wrong and the media gets a hold of a possibly selling story, all of a sudden steroids are a travesty.

So what is it people? Do you like the longball (which i don't even think steroids has a huge deal to do with, b/c it's all about contact), or do you side with the gov't/media?

WOW. the answers you get to that question amaze me. i once had a guy tell me he used the andro during his off cycle. but to say mark planted it himself to get found. i dont believe it but thats me. jose sucks

In all my years of following baseball, I have never hated a team worse than that A's team. I was soooooo happy when the Reds punked them in the WS.

I think that's just terrible that he sold everyone out. He could have just said "people" instead of naming people. This doesn't make him look good and I wouldn't be surprised if some or all of the named people file a lawsuit for defamation of character.

Mark Mcgwire is white. Which may not be the entire reason he hasnt been picked apart but its part of it. Canseco also talks about those issues in his book, about the double standards of insiders and outsiders of the game that are set on non-white players. I realize there are other reasons. Neither Barry Bonds or Gary Sheffield are likeable players. They are both punks. Can they back it up? Sure they can and I love watching those two hit more than any other 2 players in the game, but they are punks regardless.
