Whenever I go to the supermarket I stock up on 20 or so cans of Tuna Fish. You get a crap load (40 grams) of Protein in one can. I was just wondering what other foods you can stock up on that are cheap AND good for you?

Note: Not only protein foods. Are their any foods that are high in Carbs and or high in calories?

You'll get used to it in time. Besides it is a great protein source for your last meal of the day. So suck it up and get used to it. I had to and now i dont mind it.

I suggest all of you eat Planters Peanuts. I buy the "dry roasted/unsalted" ones all the time and they have alot of protein/calories/fat in them.

I also suggest you get your head checked if your eating Cottage Cheese. Its disgusting and a small puppy dies every time you eat it.

PS: How do you eat Egg whites? How do you prepare them? Also do you know how much protein/fat/calories/carbs your getting in one of them? I want to add a few new things to my diet.

PPS: I actually just love Rocky.

Nobody has ever said or will ever say that eating a clean BB diet is a gourmet delight.

If you get an animal guilt every time you eat CC, do a search thru this forum and you will get some suggestions as there are ways of making it more palatable. or try Cottage Cheese Meatloaf-Jodi's recipe

If you dont like eating CC, then a casein protein powder shake might be an alternate to consider for your bedtime meal. I havent tried it, but i've been told thats not pretty either. Maybe a small kitten dies everytime you have that shake??

Omlette, scrambled..... any way you want/like it. A couple of yolks included will also do you good.

Even though some may say that you should, Dont have them raw as the human body can only digest a limited amount of protein from raw egg whites.

I got alot of good ideas from you folks. Thanks alot.

As it stands now heres what I try to stack up on...

Frosted Mini Wheats - They're wheat. They have 6 grams of protein per bowl, and theyre my favorite of all my foods to eat. I regularly down 4 or 5 bowls in one sitting.

Tuna Fish - One can before and after my workout. Each can has 170 claories and 35 grams of protein.

Spagetti - I compared the back of wheat spagetti to white spagetti and noticed little difference. Why do people say wheat is so much better for you?

Oatmeal - I only eat this because people say its good for you.

Skim Milk - 80 calories with 8 grams of protein in one cup. I have about 10 cups a day. Is this bad for me?

Spagettios - Really cheap canned food that still tastes just as good as it did when I was 10 years old. Solid source of calories and protein. I think it has like 20 grams of protein in one can.

Do I need to get anything else in me?
