About 4 years ago I was very overweight(219 and I was 5'11 13 yrs old)I had tried numerous diets to no avail. One day I lookad at a can of Cambells chicken soup and noticed that the entire contents of the can contained 152 calories. Being young and not knowing too many facts about weight-loss I decided to enter my "own" soup diet of 2 cans per day and only drank water. I exercised everyday(can't remember what I did but I did something ) and was very strict in only 2 cans/day. After 7 weeks I approaced the scale and I was 185 pounds I shit you not, I then shed off another 7 pounds in 2 weeks and finished off at 178. I told a over-weight friend of mine about this "diet" and they too lost a small amount of weight. Can anyone tell me how this worked and what exactly happened? *I still eat soup every morning*

because your body needs a certain amount of calories just to maintain its weight. you only ate 304 cals. a day. you were starving your body, thats why you lost weight plus the fact that you were exercising. I would advise you not to do that again, its very bad for your body.

you probably lost 10-15 lbs from carb depletion and associated water weight, etc. and definetly some muscle with such a low protein intake. 2 cans of soup a day can't be much more than 20-30 grams of protein. that is a very, very unhealthy way to lose weight.

Yeah, especially if you did it for 7 weeks straight. How wre you able to excersize? If I did that I think I would die. Literally.

Hey we were all stupid at one point and didn't know what we were doing.

Years ago when I stupidly got married I was determined not to be a fat bride. So I went on a pasta diet Well, I lost weight, that's for sure. I ate 1-2 small bowls of pasta per day. I lost 20lbs. Hey I was skinny for my wedding but man oh man was I flabby

well hehe i got a story too... i starved of 50 pounds 4 years ago with nuttin but eating fruits and drinking lottas water.... man was i a dumbass heheh

i did two dumb things in a row...First the Fatkins diet. Lost 40-50lbs in 3 months then after that i was afraid to put the weight back on and unknowingly became anorexic..unknowingly as in I just ate very little but didn't know it was an eating disorder. Talk bout messing up my whole body.

I know quite well it was dumb, but give me a break I was 13! Look back I can see how stupid I really was not knowing all the facts about diet, weight-loss etc... I will have to tell you though I haven't looked back from my diet and I'am now 197(bulking up as of late).....I still wonder though how I did it, I think it MUST be a world record .......lol. And the most ironic part of all this is that I eat a can of soup every morning for the last 4 or so years(although I do add some soda crackers and have another 2000 or so calories during the day)

Oh and it was cambells soup:Chicken, vegetable, chicken vegetable etc... (as long as it was below 200 cals)
