That the white of the egg only has 3.5 grams of protein and the yolk has the other 2.5. I eat eggs for two of my meals each day and was only getting about 60% of the protein I thought I was getting as I only eat the whites and thought that the whites had all of the protein. No wonder Ive stopped growing. Im accidentally not eating enough protein!

Some eggs have huge yolks as well so you could have been getting less I use 3 grams of protein in the whites as a precaution. Adding a yolk or 2 to the whites won't hurt every now and then. All you can do now is readjust your diet and keep going at it.

You're missing about 20 grams of protein (if you eat eight eggs a day) and you've stopped growing?

Methinks there might be something else there.

12-14 eggs a day. Thats enough to make or break a diet protein wise. I weigh 180. That took my daily protein intake down from what I thought was 190 gams to about 155. Big difference.

A whole egg has about 76 calories, the white has about 17. You didn't think all the goods were in the whites, did you?

Nope - the yolk has 99% of fat and about 50% of the protein.... It also has most of the vitamins and minerals as well.

Although it depends on the size of of the egg, a typical 50-55g egg has:
Whole = 70-75 cals, 0.5g carbs, 6-7g protein, 5-6g fat

Yolk = 55-60 cals, 0.3g carbs, 3g protein, 5g fat (2g saturated)

White = 15-17 cals, 0.2g carbs, 3.5-4g protein, 0.1g fat

well does it even matter.. just double your egg white intake. eggs are the cheapest way to bulk up. like less than $1 a dozen.. thats what 7$ a week. cheap.

oops, I hardly EVER eat egg yolks ( maybe 1 a day max) cus I got told that the yolk in an egg is what makes you fart and is very high in cholesterol

i tired to eat one.. it was terrible.. it was almost impossible for me to eat it.. it is the worsed texture ever, all slimy and gross.

I would not bother with eating raw eggs - the digestability of the protein is only about 60% so you are wasting half the protein. You are much better off cooking them up!
