Triceps are a weak point

My triceps are not growing in proportion to the rest of my body. I look like I'm smaller than I am when I have a shirt on, and I don't want that. I've tried changing my routine weekly to shock my triceps, I've tried low reps, high reps, high volume, low volume, I even put them on there own day to grow better. Any one got any ideas? Flex, thought up any flex skull crushers by chance?

eat more......you arms grow in proportion to your body. Bulk up and your arms will get bigger as well.

how long have you tried those different techniques for? You have to give things time.

try not training them at all for awhile, other than the indirect work they get from chest and shoulder training.

yeah, i don't train my arms very much at all either.

I think I'll give lower reps another shot because when I was trying that, I wasn't eating as well as I am now. I eat as much as I can presently, it's not a diet situation. I eat around 4k cals a day, 250 grams of protein. Thanks for the suggestion. I have a good feeling about it.

What kind of movements were you doing? Because kickbacks arent going to build huge triceps lol

CG bench + eat more

If the idea I posted above doesn't work, I'll give it a shot. Thank you.

Close grip bench, weighted dips, and 1 drop set of pushdowns. Ego at the door form.

well, i do dips and CG bench too. Pressdowns occadsionally but everythign else bothers my elbow accept for the kickbacks.....lol, I love them!!! hahahahhaha.

I guess my triceps just grow from heavy benching and overhead pressing.

Posted by: PreMier

See, thats not all you do. Thats why you didnt count. lol

Your probably right, heavy pressing, and CG bench is great. I also like overhead DB extensions.

I prefer skull crushers, cg bench, then I clean up any left over energy with press downs

A couple of popular movements used by powerlifters are JM presses and tate presses. Both will tear your triceps a new one.

Have you tried training them more frequently than once per week?

You should post a picture. They might be more proportional than you think, and you are merely being your own worst critic.

Also, you may just have poor genetics for growing big triceps. I have about the worst lat genetics of anyone on the face of the Earth.

I have a pic in my gallery. It's a bicep shot but you can still see my tricep.

Posted by: P-funk

looks pretty proportional to me.

Posted by: clemson357

how old are you? you look like I did when I was approx. 15 or 16. If you are young, you will bulk up a lot in the next 5 years.

Posted by: ihateschoolmt

15 years old.

Posted by: clemson357

you are more cut than I was, but approx. the same size, maybe a little taller. how much do you weigh?

I put on 50 lbs. between age 17 and 19.

Posted by: ihateschoolmt

145 pounds. How much of that 50 pounds do you think was fat?

Posted by: CowPimp

I think your tricep looks proportional too... Nothing out of the ordinary.

take a look at my gallery. I don't know what percentage I am, but my body fat is low.

Everything looks in proportion to me too. Just continue to add mass and they'll grow.
