Body For Life vs. Burn The Fat, Feed the Muscle

Hummm....can you tell me more? Im not into the supps at all, I would eat the real clean foods only. I am not really in a position to buy another book right now. And Im not a beginner in the lifting dept., just need a soild program.

When I first got into lifting and trying to get back in shape, I used the Body For Life program. I thought it was a good program that laid out the foundation of good habits (6 meals a day, and portion size) to use in the future. I will say this is an excellent newbie program, but not for an expericenced bodybuilder. Also, this is a weight loss not bulking program. Don't know what your goals are. Do a search on here, a lot of BFL threads.

I did the 12 week bfl program....dropped 40 pounds on it, learned to feed my body right...by that I mean fuel my body as a machine, not just ingest food. It takes motivation and focus, especially if ure a beginner, coz it involves frequent training and killer cardio, but its a good place to start!

I did BFL. I liked it and did it for quite sometime. I NEVER got the suggested routine done in the time suggested. I didnt need to loose weight so i skipped the cardio. My problem was the diet. I didnt pay enough attention to cals, even though i had a clean diet. So while i looked good. i didnt grow much mass.

U wouldnt pack on tons of meat on that program...its aimed at an unfit, sedentary crowd, who will of course see a huge difference in body comp. after shocking the body for 12 weeks....Its more of a cutting program.

Thanks all! I'm going to officially do it starting on Monday. I will probably do some protein powder drinks and stuff, but really like to use real food.

I am looking to lose about 5lbs or so, but really tone up and build a bit. Also, my diet has been really bad, so I want to clean that up. Check out my journal...coming soon!
