I have a question about my upcoming cut.

i plan on my diet mainly cnosisting of lean steak, fruits, vegitables, and protein shakes so that i can have a lot of protein and minimal carbs/fat.

i was just wanting to make sure that i can cut off of this.

also this might belong in the training forum, but it goes a long with my question.....

what should i eat, if anything, before my morning work out of HiiT cardio? i was thinking a 20g protein shake? and then i will also be doing a cardio session after school, should i do this before or after i lift?

and last but not least, CLA.. is it worth my money? some ppl like it, sum say its crap.. what do you think?

ive gained about 15 lbs so far and almost no body fat on this bulk so im pretty excited! i will keep a log and post pictures when i am finished!

-thanks-

Make sure you have some carbs in your diet or all that hard work will go right down the drain. You need carbs no matter what.

Food before morning cardio is a very touchy scene. Many argue both sides. I experimented with an empty stomach and it worked fine for me....just do cardio on an empty stomach then have a meal after it.

For your second cardio be sure to do it after your w/o. Just one comment...I'd hold off with all the cardio for now. No need to be pullin 2 cardio's a day and weight training b/c you'll just back yourself into a corner once progress stops and you'll have no way to really tweak. Just lower your cals for now and throw a few sessions of cardio in coupled with the weight training then little by little add more cardio. Don't do it all in one shot.

No clue about CLA

IMO, it is best used when there is a caloric excess to aid nutrient partitioning

Eh, hold off on the cardio for awhile IMHO. In a month and a half I went from about 14% to 9% without any cardio. I only lowered my calories once during that time. I am still at 13cals a pound and I dont plan on going lower. As I lose the weight I am updating the formula so it lowers itself anyways.
