This may be a strange question, but what would be the proper diet when I'm up for 20, 24 or even over 24 hours? At least once a week I'm up for a 24 hour day and sometimes longer. What would be healthy when I'm on these long days? Should I eat every 2-3 hours as long as I'm awake? Should I spread my meals out to evry 4-5 hours instead?
And yes, I know it's unhealthy to stay up that length of time, but sometimes b/t work and family I don't have much of a choice.
Thanks.

I'm in the same boat sometimes due to changes in shift work. I stay eating every 3-4 hours keeping it to protein/low GI carbs and healthy fats.

I'm not sure what the proper answer is, but on Wednesday's I am up at 6:30 AM and don't get to bed until 3:30/4:00AM the next day. I try to keep eating every 3 hours to keep my body fueled.

Maintain eating to keep your body fueled....if you are cutting and can't afford to over shoot your calories consider reducing the calories in each meal to stretch them out a little bit. Other then that just eat something every 3-4 hours and make sure you get plenty of rest afterwards. Your body will need it.

Alright, thanks all. I'm not cutting right now, I'm going just over maint. and have been trying to eat every 3-4 hours. I just wanted to check and see if that was the right thing to do.
