IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN SOCCER COS ENGLAND ARE PLAYING THE USA ON MAY 28 IN CHICAGO?

Sven-Goran Eriksson’s team will travel to the USA on Tuesday 24 May for a week’s trip which will see them play the host country at Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago on Saturday 28 May.

Everyone knows the English national team is getting weaker. When is the last time they won anything?

They only beat Poland 2-1 in Chorzow and that was luck.

Wait till i think september when they play again, the score will be Poland 2 England 0.

to say "when was the last time they won anything" is flawed, when was the last time argintina, netherlands, spain, germany, portugal, turkey won anything? but they still good teams

england beat poland 2-1 and was a deserved victory

I wouldn't be surprised if the USNT won. English style soccer is boring, basically, getting long lofted passes to Michael Owen. I think if the US applies aggressive enough defence they have a fair shot. USNT has been very steadily improving, and now theres more quality US players then ever. Many are internationals too.

Now, on the other hand I'll be rooting for England VS Columbia when they play in NJ. That should be a FUN match.

We will see who is nothing when world cup 2006 comes around. The slates are clean, and the ranking don't mean a thing.

I guarantee Poland will reserve one of the top three spots.

Additionally, if you are talking about FIFA rankings, everyone knows they are so damn biased and skewed.

Thats what england used to play like 4 or 5 years ago

I would be very surprised if the US won. Their defense is poor and the players just arent really good enough.

Poland arent too bad at football. I don't know if they would beat england but they would beat the US comfortably

if england took a full team out there during the english season not at the end they would beat the us easily but all englands top players will pull out of the game to begin resting up or to have minor ops

the us have a good team and are getting stronger all the time there tacticaly(however u spell it) getting better not quite there, but fitness and pyshicaly very strong the problem with the us is that they have so many good young players they could be a world force but these players dont make it to the top league cos there all picked on stats and which college they played for rather then skill

oh and one more point england dont play long lofted passes to owen , if we did he would probably score more goals, englands problem is when they play internation football they play a diff style to club style ansdd players like owen often dont get used to there full potential
