If you're losing BF, does anyone recommend a (Negative Calorie) diet? Is this healthy 2 do if one is staying busy working out with both cardio (to lose BF) and Weight lifting (2 gain muscle)?

Example: say you have a busy day planned working out and u choose...
Breakfast -- 1 Oat Bran Muffin (Grain/Carb)
Lunch-- Lg. Salad w/ protein (Veggies & Protein)
2 daily Snacks -- raw veggies (Veggies)
dinner-- proportionate & healthy well rounded meal. (Protein, Carb, Veggie)

Is a Negative Calorie diet enough to sustain one while trying to gain both muscle and lose BF% at the same time? Your information/advice is much appreciated, thank you.

Not even close to enough food.

Yes, I agree. If you don't eat enough, you will lose LBM (muscle) as well as fat. You don't want to lose LBM that's counter productive.

Gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time is hard. But if you gain lean mass your body fat % goes down. It better to gain, then cut, because the extra muscle raises your metabolism and makes your cut easier.

A good idea might be to eat about 13 cals per pound of LBM, in a 40/40/20 fashion....U could be watching fat melt away in no time, perhaps even without cardio ...What r ur stats?
