Alright, this is bugging me, i started working out about a month ago, and i weighed intoday, and i've lost 9 pounds. I felt great about myself. But i come online today and start reading some stuff about diets. Right now i really odn't have a strict diet, i'm 16, 511, 255 pounds. 15-16% body fat. I started reading some threads on a good diet, and theres just so many different kinds, and so many confusing foods that i've never heard of in my life. And i think to myself, how the hell and i going to do this. I was thinking of going to the store, stocking up on some lean chicken breast, some vegies, fruits, and some carbs.. But i read on and on, and it seems like there isn't a simple diet. Just complex diets with so many numbers and so many different foods, Wouldn't just a simple 5-6 meal a day diet work.. Example, Morning before school: a grapefruit, and 2 pieces of wheat toast. During school: maybe a lean turkey or chicken sandwich with some water and a veggie or fruit. After school pre workout: Maybe.. some fruits, and a little carbs, such as a sandwich to give me energy. Post workout/Dinner: a chicken breast, veggies such as broccli, and some brown rice. And before bed: i don't even know...
All this crap is just so damn confusing, i'm looking to lose body fat, and gain muscle, i've been over weight my whole life, and i'm trying my hardest for a change. So, anyone, please help me with a easy to follow diet that would lead to a loss of body fatt, and a gain in muscle mass.

Ok, you lost me at one part. You say your over weight, but reading your post your 255 pounds at 15-16 percent bodyfat? That would be quite amazing for 16 years of age.
But, the best thing to do when you first start is to step your way into it. Right now, stick to eating healthy food and getting down a good workout schedule that works for you. Then you can start making a diet plan and such. The most important thing you dont want to do is under-eat. When your young your body needs nutrients to grow and without them you can incur negetive effects on your development.
Like, I said just start eating healthy food and you will quickly notice a difference.

Actually let me correct one thing, its good to guestimate/monitor balanced foods. Just because oatmeal is good for you, doesnt mean you should eat it all day lol. Incorporate at least 150 grams of protein into your diet, and keep bad fats to a minimum. Read aroudn the threads to find out what types of foods you need and when.
