Can you train the outside of the triceps more than the inside, or inside more than outside.?

I kno i dont have enough mouscle to get crazy about being even but i noticed that the inside of my left tricept is bigger that my right and also just thicker overall. And my right like i said is sknnier but the outside is bigger than the left outside. @_@

Each of us has slightly different insertion points for our muscles on the left and right sides of our body's, especially when it comes to the limbs. We also can have a disaparity in the types/numbers of muscle cells and/or differences in nerve force. All of this will affect your look from the left to the right side of the body. Very few people look perfectly even on both sides.

That said, while you can not completely isolate a single head of the tricep you can more strongly work the inner/long head by doing tricep movements that involve you having your elbows up by your ears (overhead exercises). Most other exercises will somewhat equally involve the entire triceps.

You dont have horse shoe triceps because they are not big enough! and you arent ripped enough! simple as that..

Poncing around doing a wonder workout isnt somehow gonna make you grow from what you was probley doing before.

Look at more important areas like overtrainig, under nutrition etc... if your growing big i.e. adding 5 inches on your chest your triceps will be getting much bigger!

The triceps workout I gave him was very sound, effective, and practical. It was meant to make him bigger, and also to hit the triceps from a variety of angles, which will stimulate more growth. You do not need to be "ripped" to have a horseshoe tricep, just well-developed and with a healthy bodyfat %. Yes he needs to make sure that he is eating well, supplementing correctly, and getting proper rest...but what he has now is a foundation to start with, which is a good tricep workout.

Volume does not build muscle...intensity does. There is no need for him to do 12 work sets for a small muscle like triceps.

Here is a great argument and perhaps should have it's own thread. Volume vs Intensity. What does a guy/ or a gal do??? I just returned from a training workshop at the university of Wyoming. They are training all of their athletes on a volume based workout. However they never do more than 7 reps in any set. Now they may do 6 sets of 4 but never more than 7 per set. They are a firm beliver in an explosive based regime. Plyometrics before every lift. Ex: three hurdle jumps befor hang cleans. Granted they are training football players and not body builders.

Training athletes is a COMPLETELY different animal than training a bodybuilder.

Well I am saying volume does build muscle, you got to train all parts of your muscles!
