I don't have any meets/dates planned at this point... I highlighted some upcoming meets in a PL USA magazine that are in Ohio, but I haven't really looked into them beyond that yet.

There are a lot of meets up at Kings Gym in Bedford OH puts on a lot of powerlifting meets through out the year. I train there when I am home. It is a friggin' great powerlifting gym.

Idk maybe it is just from my perspective. I seem to rep things pretty well, my estimating 1RM is always like 30-40 lbs higher than what I actually can do. |

I wasn't exactly trying to go for one single PR set... I would've liked to hit 155lbs for 6 sets of 3, but that wasn't going to happen.
Plus my left shoulder's been a little iffy the past 2-3 days, so even what I did today was probably a bit much... |

Very nice job on the desdlifts Sean. I myself have started deadlifts not too long ago. I used to work only with 35's so that the bar would not be as high in the air and used to only be able to pull about 300 that way. Lately I switched to using 45's and I pulled 385 but it seemed a little hard. I got a question, maybe dumb, but I've never used a belt for any of my lifts. How exactly do you put it on and how tight do you make it? cos I want to try it next time in my school. Thanks bro, and keep up the good work.

Conventional Deadlifts 45lbs x 8 135lbs x 6 185lbs x 4 225lbs x 4 275lbs x 2 315lbs x 1 (belt on) 365lbs x 1 405lbs x 1 - Felt heavier than 405 x 3 did last week... 440lbs x 0 - Goddamn fucking bullshit... I got it half-way up and had to stop, I could feel my legs shaking, and I kept pulling and pulling but eventually the weight starting going the opposite way... That's the first time I've missed a deadlift that got past the first 2 inches of movement .Felt like leaving at that point. Cybex Leg Press 180lbs x 6 270lbs x 6 360lbs x 6 450lbs x 6 540lbs x 6 540lbs x 6 360lbs x 12 Prone Leg Curls #9 x 10 #9 x 10 #8 x 10 #7 x 10 DB Shrugs 60lbs x 20 60lbs x 14 stretch I have video's of 315-440 on deadlifts, but I'm not going to bother with them tonight, I need sleep... I'm definately taking next week off... I feel like doing some light bodybuilder shit the week after that too...... I need to re-evaluate my program... I've gained 10-12lbs, but haven't even put that on my deadlift, that's not a good thing... Maybe I need to stop powerlifting for a while. |
