Canadian women win hockey gold

Canada overcame 13 penalties 8 in a row at one time to beat USA 3-2 in the gold medal game. I seldom watch women`s hockey but I have to admit it was an entertaining game to watch.

This is just a preview of what is going to happen in the men`s hockey.

its good that they won and all but come on, its only womens hockey. the boys play tomorrow. thats what really matters.

Yes, but the canadian women were very poor sports, every time the USA women would shoot the puck the canadian goalie wouldn't let it go in the goal. I think the USA should protest the Olympics.

Oops sorry, that just slipped out. Anyway, that game had two MOST's in my opinion. #1 It was the MOST dominating performance I have seen in all of hockey since the Red Wings spanked the Flyers in the Stanley Cup Finals. #2 It was the MOST poorly officiated game I have EVER seen. What made the Canadian's performance so incredibly impressive is that they not only had to beat the American team, they had to beat the Referee too. AND THEY DID!!!! OK, a third MOST. The Canadian team was the MOST fully prepared team for any game/opponent I've ever seen. They knew exactly how to play the Americans and went out there and did it. The Canadian women should be holding there heads high for MANY years to come. Impressive, VERY impressive.

Not to worry guys, I've got him under complete control. He only slips out on occasions when a truely great perfomance MUST be recognized. That's only once or twice a day after I've satisfied another woman.

That game should have been something like 6 to 2 Canada. The officials ruined what could have been a much better game. But hats off to Canada. They spanked the American women in spite of a terribly officiated game.

The Canadian men are about to slap Belarus back to Europe. One nice thing about being unemployed is that I get to watch it.

At least they didn't win in controversial circumstances like the Figure Skaters.

As long as sports use human beings as judges there will be bias. As far as the Russians pulling out, I doubt it. It's too close to the end to pull out now. They still have a chance in hockey and don't want to ruin that. Imagine the national glory if they came over here and beat us at home. They'd probably make it a national holiday.

I'm trying to come out, ladies and gentlemen I am in a very VERY desperate situation here. I was pretty disappointed with the Americans for putting the Canadian flag on the floor of thier dressing room. I'm shocked that such a proud nation as America who is very flag conscious would do something like that. I'm pretty sure if the roles were reversed, and Canada put a US flag on the floor, there would be a nuclear missle parked in downtown Toronto in no time.

I think the American team is a better team than the Canadians, but they just got beat, it happens; but the poor sportsmanship they displayed is shameful.

I had heard a short blurb about the American team putting a Canadian flag on the locker room floor but then it went away. DAMN, if it's true they should all be publicly flogged. That's disgusting and just about the most poor sportsmanship I've ever heard of. You're right mmafiter, if the situation were reversed the media would have been having a field day. Now that I think about it, that's probably why I only heard a short blurb in the first place, the media covered it up. DISGUSTING!!! For all parties concerned. Sometimes I'm ashamed of my own contrymen.

The Canadian women showed nothing but class through the entire tournament, they got what they deserve, the GOLD.
