How often do you do a workout that you know probably isn't the most conducive to muscle building, but you go through with it just because it builds your mental muscle? I'm talking about working a bodypart until it's beaten time and time again and you can't move for days afterward. Sure, it's against the common bodybuilding knowledge, but this is what the old school guys did--and look at them (then)!

I ask only because every once in a blue moon my buddy and I do a leg day that looks something like this...

5 x 15 - Squats
4 x 15 - Dead lifts
3 x 15 - Leg Press
Ladder x Ladder - Leg Extensions (Start at 150 pounds go to failure, go to failure every time pounds ascending all the way to 200, then do a second set to failure on 200 and descend doing the same to 150)

Thats me, and I do almost the same leg routine but I add stiff legged deads...booty burners for sure! About every 3 weeks I really tear up my tri's too; skullcrushers, closegrip bench, pushdowns and pushOUTs (rope above my head) in consecutive movements. The pump is awesome and the burn is too.

Your talking about just beating the piss out of a single muscle group? Like to the point you skip school or work the next day because you have to crawl to the bathroom the next day?

If so I do, normally with legs, about once a month. And I do it to abs about once a week.
