More reps for such muscle groups such as forearms and calves (since they are designed to endure thousands of contractions everyday) produces a better overload. Same thing happens with other muscle that dont make so many contractions...less endurance / more recovery time results in less reps. Also the size of the muscle matters but is second in comparison to the first two points. |
