Also depends on what you want to accomplish. If you want to bulk go for 1 or 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. If you are cutting 1 or 1.5 grams per pound of LBM.

I use Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets to track my info.
I have 4 different spreadsheets in one file.
- First one tracks what I eat throughout the day (date, breakfast/time, lunch/time, meal#3/time, dinner/time, meal#5/time, notes)
- Second is a calculations sheet which I have listed foods I regularly eat and some I eat occassionally along with their nutritional info - I calculate the info throughout the entire day using copy/paste from the calculations list, then log them under my third sheet:
- "Saved Calculations"
- Fourth sheet is "MEAL PLANS" which lays out a bunch of different meal options as well as meal plans for entire days based on calories and macro split
