It is better that they are illegal. Makes it harder for stupid kids to buy them on impulse. Anyone can still get them on www.sell.com anyway.

nope.

Posted by: musclepump

no.

Posted by: nikegurl

hell no. i don't support the ban but to be honest - i'm amazed they lasted as long as they did.

Posted by: redspy

Given the agenda of recent governments there's no way they will be made legal again. Anyway, it's good to know the kids we're protecting have a readily available supply of alcohol and cigarettes to comfort them.

Posted by: rrgg

Water will become illegal before prohormones are legal.

Posted by: Egoatdoor

When :

1) Boston Red Sox fans chant" Lets go Yankees"
2) Ron Artest is elected mayor of Detroit
3) Ted Kennedy becomes a Republican
4) Golf replaces basketball as the sport of the inner city
5) ESPN airs the Ms. Olympia contest live in prime time
and 5) A 150 pound bantamweight detrones Ronnie Coleman in the Mr. Olympia contest,

then pro hormones may become legal again.

If we abolish all sports in America..then and only then, will they legalize Steroids/Prohormones. That is the only reason they have become banned in the 1st place. They cant use the ol "The side effects are to harsh on people" these days because cigarettes and alcohol have shown far worse side effects but yet are still legal.

The truth of the matter is....how many of the congressmen are smoking and drinking opposed to using anabolic steroids. Hahahaha I think we all know the answer to that. Those fat asses. I can picture them now gobbling down a greesy as all hell philly cheese steak, beer in one hand and a cigar in the other yapping about how we need to keep steroids/prohormones because of the dangerous side effects.

PH's were only banned because our beloved elected officials needed a quick fix for all the time they have wasted, not discussing gas prices, social security, the war on terrorism,Iraq.etc.etc.etc.They couldn't attack alcohol or tobacco because of the revenue thats used to line the pockets of our officials, and besides those companies would put up a fight. So the alternative was to attack a weaker target (PH) and then act as if they had ended poverty by doing so.They were to lazy to defeat a legitament apponent and better the health of the nation by taking it to tobacco and alcohol manufacturers so they hyped PH'S to be a more dangerous monster to the media so they could take them down and bask in the glory of the ultimate triumph. So this being said ,so you really think the decision will be reversed ? I think not.Maybe Arnold will run for president one day?YEA RIGHT.

SORRY ABOUT SOUNDING SO POLITICAL,JUST WANTED TO EXPRESS MY OPINION ON THIS FOR ALONG TIME NOW.

Posted by: Christopher J

When were Prohormones/Pro-Steroids banned? When "baseball players" were hitting a ridiculous amount of home runs. Then & only then did idiots like John McCain show a cause for concern. Until that time, they were never talked about among congress and all those other idiotic polititioners.

What side effects were so terribly bad that they had to pull them off the shelves quickly and schedule them as a controlled substance? "Baseball" was the side effect! That and only that is the reason Prohormones were banned. You never heard Senator John McCain even mention steroids/prohormones before the whole baseball scandall. And now all of a sudden hes speaking out saying "we must keep these drugs out of the hands of children". Have these not been around for quite sometime now?? Why didnt he speak out on them before the baseball scandall?? And why does he care so much more about Steroids than he does about cocaine, heroin, crack ect? You never hear anything out of his mouth when an athlete gets arrested for cocaine/marijuana possession.

Posted by: juggernaut

anyone ever hear of darryl strawberry??? snifff sniffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Posted by: Christopher J

Hahahahahaha yeah, where was John McCain at then??? Dopes like McCain are the reason why our country is more and more becoming less free.

One step further,,,...
If they ever made a prohormone with no side effects, would the government alow it?? People probably would live alot longer and social security would still not be reformed... soo even with that variable I do not think it would be possible.

PH are now legally steroids...so ask yourself if steroids are going to be legal again....and you have your answer.

IMO there is no chance in hell.

Posted by: Flakko

Maybe if steroids and PH's manufacturers give money for the elections/political campaings like tobacco companies do, maybe...

Posted by: Christopher J

Someday (hopefully) we will get some senceable people in congress ect. and steroids may become legal once again as they should be really. The only reasonable way to legalize steroids is to have them avaliable via prescription of course. The government doesnt seem like they want to kill the black market. That I think befuddles alot of people including myself. You never really know what your gonna get with the black market stuff.

An age limit should be set. 25 years & older. No more than 3 cycles a year. Collect money from the companies and put it towards the nations national debt ect.

Now, on the other hand....I wouldnt mind if they kept steroids on the banned list forever. As long as they are consistant with what they are saying. A person can risk their life and have their stomach stapled to lose weight but a person cant quote unquote risk their life to gain some muscle. Now, why does a fat ass like Star Jones for example have the right to go under the knife and lose weight, but I myself and others arent allowed to enhance our bodies with NO surgery, just some shots and/or pills?

I think the government is lame for trying to play babysitter...they let women get hormones from their doctor so they can avoid getting pregnant....that leads to people having sex with random people and transmitting diseases. IMO that seems more irresponsible then letting someone take hormones to gain muscle or promote a healthier lifestyle.

I just think if it is okay to walk into a plastic surgeon's office and get any type of cosmetic surgery done for pure vanity an adult male should be able to go to his doc and get an Rx for anabolic steroids to build his physique if that is what he wants to do.

Are the risks of taking steroids any higher than going under the knife and having silicon impants put into your chest?

Posted by: Christopher J

Great points Robert/Trogen. The whole boob implants seems a hell of alot worse than popping pills and sticking needles to get bigger. Atleast those lifting weights have to do something to get the physique they want. These damned broads just walk in and say Ill take some silicon doc. Her chest gets all cut open and boom, shes got boobs.

Needless to say there has been MANY documented cases of these people who have gotten implants fallen violently ill. I have never heard of such a thing with steroid use unless it was fake black market $hit which the government doesnt seem to care that we will always have around as long as they keep steroids illegal.

If we actually did care though, we would have a huge "Steroid Man March". I guarantee sooner than later steroids would be legal via prescription once again. There isnt enough noise out there for the ignorant to hear us.

And one more point.... Let the sports govern their OWN rules. Dont punish the non professional athlete who want to change their bodies for the good.

Posted by: bio-chem

i never thought the govt would let the brady bill run out..........stranger things have happened. when the govt realizes something was ineffective, they have gotten rid of it before. such as ban on alchohol

Posted by: zombul

These are all excellent points, but we'll never get are answers because they don't fit into the corporate agenda of are reps.Hormones aren't even comparable to surgery, alcohol, tobacco and all these other issues danger wise and yet we'll be looked down on as a bunch of brain dead muscle heads.Isn't our society built on strenght and solidarity, look at the productivity you get from a stronger society.Don't hate but here me out;what if our military was given the option to be stronger and faster. If were sending them into harms way why not give them the option to be at their very best.

Just a thought...

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

the fight agains crack and heroin is not working either, but I will bet my paycheck the government isn't thinking about making it legal.

steroids should be legal for people looking for the fitness benefits....by prescription and being monitored by Dr. to minimize the sides.

exactly, the only thing the government did by making steroids a class III drug is push it all onto the black market which ultimately has causes more problems and is much more dangerous because dealers are out there selling shit they mixed up at home. if bodybuilders had the option availabe to go to a doctor and get it Rx'd it would be much safer, plus they could enforce blood testing to check things like liver, kidneys and prostate.

so, as usual the government has fucked something else up and it all boils down to politics and money, not our health, that is the last thing they care about, if they did tobacco would be illegal.

Posted by: Flakko

One thing that I always say is that cigarrettes are legal to buy and a lot of minors buy them. The second hadn smoke from cigarrettes kills hundreds of people. On the other hand, I have never heard of anybody dying because his friend used steroids and being around someone who uses them can cause death.
If someone wants to use PH's or steroids I agreed with what my friends here said. They should be sold with prescription only, the person should have a doctor cheking him let's say every 3 months. The person should be allowed to purchase just 3-4 times a year and what they are allowed to buy should be based on their medical record. Persons buy them should show ID, same way the ask for ID to buy alcohol, cigarrettes, etc...
They should not be sold online.
Those are just some suggestions that I think could be useful.
