How are carrots in terms losing weight and just giving me something to munch on for a snack? Nothing added to them just outta the bag, fresh chopped carrots?

It depends on the rest of your diet and if you are still maintaining a calorie deficiency.

But generally you should not be 'snacking' between meals at all.... Also, carrots are not really your best bet to snack on - they are higher in sugars and lower in fibre than your other vegetables. If you are going to snack on something - I would go for celery, lettuce or cucumber. Lower in calories, higher in fibre. Otherwise - stick to water and sugar-free gum!

I think it depends on what sort of 'losing weight' you are referring to, a few lbs or cutting for a contest? Also where you are starting from diet and calorie wise.
Carrots get a bad rap imo, sure I agree they are not the 'best' veggie for you and because they are higher in sugars I don't eat them when I am pre-contest but they are tasty little critters and sometimes when dieting you want something you can literally 'munch' on.

You are right - I personally don't think carrots are that bad either, especially when you are not competition dieting (they are low GI, low GL, high in vitamins and they are CERTAINLY better to snack on when you are looking at the vending machine as the other alternative! ).

I was just saying that at the end of the day, if you are eating enough food at your meals but you continue to snack, then you will be getting too many calories - and it will count in terms of results.
