Dammit its playoff time. I know this is late but lets get it craccin please. Who are you guys lookin to see out of the East? West? It certainly is lookin like Miami, who hasn't lost a game yet and is gonna have two weeks rest for gods sake. Wade is playing like the MVP as well, no question. Detroit is lookin weak and I personally hope that Indiana beats 'em just b/c I think Detriot is overrated and seeing the shorthanded Pacers take 'em down would quite these cracced out sportswriters.
As for the West I think we all know that I want to see Seattle take it, but if they don't I would love to see Pheonix win it all. I hate the bitch ass Spurs and after letting the injured and shorthanded Sonics back into the series 2-2, I think they have a great opportunity to take it. After the last Suns/ Mavs it looks like Dallas may have a shot, although Pheonix still looks like they will take it. Anyways lets get some chatter going folks... konichiwa bitches

I'm not a basketball fan, but I like all sports come playoff time. I see Miami beating Phoenix in the finals in 6.

Posted by: Goodfella9783

I think the Winner of Dallas/Phoenix will win it all.

I am a big BBall fan but Pro hoops have become boring to watch. A bunch of premadonna's that make way too much money. College basketball is where it is at. The game is faster and guess what? They actually still play defense!

Posted by: gr81

how can you say that college is better than pro nowadays. maybe you would've had an argument a few years back, but college is weak as fucc since the new found mindset of leaving early or straight outa HS. College basketball has suffered bigtime. It looks like they play D b/c there are so fewer great jumpshooters to break the zones in college. And for teh first time in years in the NBA you have 4 + teams that are great teams. In the last it has been all Lakers basically. You have such a vast amount of young talent, and so many teams that have been bad that have the chance to step it up next year. I am more excited about the NBA now than I have been in years. The Suns are a powerhouse, the Spurs are a powerhouse, for teh first time in a long time Miami looks like they could hav a better team than a west finals potential team. You have Players like Wade and Stoudamire, Lebron that are gonna carry this league.

Im a Miami Heat fan (hence 305 in the end of my name.. the area code if u didnt know), anyway.. i agree with gr181's last statement however i do feel the final four is sometimes more exciting to watch than the NBA Finals

Everybody on IM is a Celtic fan, ha.

Posted by: gr81

not everyone...lol

hey I thank god that at least DD and Camaro aren't here now to bust my balls, god damm Spurs fans. BTW Mano Ginobili is a little bitch, and the biggest flopper around. He officially takes the title away from Divac. He got just about every single call his way in the game 5, which is just straight bitch made seeing ass how he flopped his way to the floor most of the game. I can't stand players that play that type of game, its not basketball, thats pussy shit. Get off the floor you women and play the game, maybe then people would respect your game

I agree with you about the flopping. It's now part of the game and has gotten ridiculous, but then again, so has palming the ball and travelling. They've become part of the game, too.

We need an all-flopper team.

C - Divac
G - Ginobili
G - Miller
F - ??
F - ??

No room for him on there, but Iverson would def. make my list.

The game is a much faster and more intelligent game. They still operate on the primise that to win you must play defense! They play from base line to base line. 90 feet of pressure defense which in turn speeds the game up. In the pro's they walk the ball up make one pass and clear out for a one on one show. The integrity of the game has been lost in teh pro's.

Now I am not argueing the fact that the better athletes arein the pro's but the way they play it doesn't really matter!

I agree. They play so much harder in college basketball. I think the games are more exciting. I only watch NBA in the playoffs. Thats when they turn it up.

What about VC? Oh wait, he just fakes injuries...

I know Duncan takes some major dives once in a while. He'd be on my list.

Posted by: Mithamo

sorry gr81 but fortson is in a constant state of foul or flop. he takes a forward possition on that list

Posted by: Mithamo

ohh and the playoffs.

Without Joe Johnson the Suns are a different team. the bench is shortened and their offensive game is tighter. it puts even more pressure on nash in the backcourt and takes away the second best ball handler on the team in frontcourt. he was rediculously under rated and the suns will not win in dallas without him, though they will probably take game seven.

between the spurs and the sonics: cmon! the soops are missing their 2nd and 3rd leading scorers and still managed to stay in this series. Now i love the soops, and i live in seattle, but it will take a miracle for the sonics to put up enough points to beat the spurs.

the spurs vs suns in conference finals will be go to the spurs.

in the east
I got on the detroit bandwagon early this year and i'll stay there. If they get through miami, which they will, they will beat the suns or give the spurs a helluva ride.
on the off chance the sonics make the finals, the seattle will blow up the pistons in 6 games. write it down

Posted by: gr81

First off let me say its great to have another sonics fan, b/c they get absolutely no love from anyone. I mean your right, missing two of their three options on offense, not to mention with Rashard out they have basically NO ONE with a consistent post game, and without him and radmanovic and lewis on the perimeter shooting the ball they have to completely change their game, and they still are in the series! That says alot about this team. Antonio Daniels has been the MVP of this series for sure, and Wilkins has played great perimeter defense as always. Nate seriously needs to get Reggie Evans off the fuccin court, I mean the one thing he can do is rebound and he hasn't had one game in the playoffs where he got double digit rebounds, especially game 5 where the Sonics where poorly outrebounded on the defensive end. I'd much rather have Collison playing 40+ minutes with Fortson, James and Potapenko rotating. Anways, I think if they win tonight which they probably will, and can stay close going into the fourth of game seven, within 7-8, I think the Spurs will choke.. Lets hope at least huh!!!!

hey I won't argue with that, i couldn''t possibly.. ha, but hey is there one player in the league that gets shitted on by the refs more than him? Danny is treated so unfairly, he cannot whenever he takes the ball to the hoop, and people constantly flop whenevr they are near him, the call against him is automatic. It drives me fuccin crazy!!! It does piss me off when he makes stupid mental mistakes right in front of the refs, like shoving people blatantly. thats gotta drive Nate crazy

Posted by: gr81

as for the Dallas/ Pheonix series, yeah the Suns areshorthanded, but if they keep playing defense like they did last night, letting Nash take uncontested 10 footer after another then they ain't gonna do shit.
I don't think Detriot can handle Miami, I mean they could barely take out a ravaged Pacers team who can't put the ball in the basket. Detriot doesn't have the fire power or the transition D to keep up with Wade, and with Shaq getting two weeks rest, he's gonna cancel out Wallace. Maybe if Rasheed gets his ass away from the three point line and has him work the post game like he is able to then they have a shot. Assuming that Seattle doesn't make it past this series I would like to see the Suns take it all, and I think that a Pheonix/ Miami series would be an exciting one

Posted by: Mithamo

i guess i havent been looking to closely at reggie in the post season, but yea your right. on top of not getting his rebounds, which is his ONLY job, hes been a chokemaster with the ball. I still think nate needs to give him the benefit of the doubt and keep him as a starter, even if he hasnt been hot on the boards like usual. I mean hes good for 1reb/2mins when he is hot and thats what we need to beat the spurs.

WHAT ABOUT COLLISON THOUGH. this guy is playing like a 10 year vet, if AD gets MVP of the series, nick gets honorable mention.

I just hope nate doesnt go to the cavs. i heard theyre offering 10 mil.

Posted by: gr81

Man every time I watch Nick, which is every game, I just absolutely LOVE this kid. He is gonna be a star. I mean he is SOOOO smart and does everything you could possibly want out of a role player. If he develops a jumpshot in the next few years he will be unbelievable. I can't wait to see him start next year, what a solid fundamentally sound player. That right there is why players should go to college first..lol

yeah I am defn worried about this offseason. I mean we lost so much money this year. I think we defn HAVE to sign Allen first and foremost. I think we need Radmanovic, he proved himself to me this year and fits in great here. I would love to sign AD but I don't think they will b/c of his knees, and plus Ridnour is gonna be playing 38-40 minutes next year, Daniels sure deserves the money thou. I have so much respect for him for what he's been this year for us and would love to see him in Sonic green next year. James I would sign, but for not more than 4-5 mill. There will probably be some team that wants to give him a huge contract after seeing him against the kings.. ha. Anyway it goes down I think we need to concentrate on our free agents before they try and go looking, ya know

Posted by: Mithamo

have you heard anything about our rookie center robert swift? ive heard that he has the footwork and speed of a small forward and hes 7 ft. i think we need to sign JJ to a 3 year deal max to give this kid time gain some weight, and work his way to the starting position.

Posted by: gr81

Yeah I hear that he supposedly has amazing hands and footwork, but still I am not convinced. This guy needs to put on about 70 lbs before he can play in the NBA. In fact this is exactly whats wrong with players being able to come out of HS. This guy is not Lebron or Jermaine O'Neal even. He really coulda benefited from a few years in college IMO. Anways, yeah It would be nice to sign JJ, just b/c he is so tall and lanky, but like I said we can't spend more than 5 mill on him, no way. Lets remember that despite the Sac series he has not lived up to his potential. We shall see thou. I really hope we sign Damien Wilkins, this kid proved himself BIGTIME this year, and especially stepping in for Rashard. I mean he is an exellent perimeter defender with great hands, He is energetic, he can run, rebound, he can finish and shoot the three. I am very excited to see him develop. He is the prototypical Nate McMillan player, defends, runs and is energetic, hes gotta love him..
