My Back Kills, thanks Leg press..

was doing Heavy (for me) leg press in the gym couple of years ago. i belive now i had to much movement with the machine, all the way down to my Chest, u know the score. well my lower back still hurts from then, it has got alot better,and now i just get on with it. jut wondered if any one has any phisio advice, was thinking of going to see a back specialist, i forget the correct term /cariopractichiner????

do not go down to your chest, as soon as your butt starts to lift that is as deep as you should go.

exactly.

if your butt starts to lift, that means you're putting the strain on your lower back.

when doing ANY kind of legs, you need to arch the hell outta your back, literally as much as you possibly can, so when you come down, all the stress stays on your legs and not your back.

hold onto the handles of the leg press machine or hack or whatever and keep your body (and lower back) as tight as you can. then you'll be okay...

yeah thanks for the advice, however damage done. cant be anything serious or i wouldnt be doing what im doing still, in the Gym. More of a constant ache, it hurts most if i hang from the pull up bars stretching. just wondering if theres out i could do to relieve it. I`m 26 so dont wanna be having trouble later on if i can help it. thanks again Y.K
