It's really hard to toss out Magic or Dr. J or Larry but I think right now, at this level of play, this line up would do the best

jason kidd made your all time lists!!! jesus christ.. First off Gary Payton is two times the player kidd, or should I say NO-J Jason, ever was!! Payton was just slept on b/c he played in Seattle, but he was the only player besides Jordan recently to be selected to the All Defensive First Team 9 years in a row, his offensive game was stellar, he could shoot the three, he could penetrate with THE BEST of 'em, his post game was superior to any other guard in the league of teh time, and he could diss out 7-10 assists a game, not to mention win games.. sorry but I had to call you on that pick. That being said, if you don't pick Magic Johnson or Isiah Thomas at point you just don't know basketball. Stockton is a far better point than Kidd, Jason Kidd is one of the most overrated players of our generation as far as I am concerned.

sorry for the rant folks, I get heated....here is an All Time First Team starting five you can't beat..

haha calm down. jesus. i like kidd b/c he gets intense, i would easily start magic over him. As for Payton, yes one of the best defensive players of all time, but he doesnt know how to lead a team. He's come close, but no rings.

Posted by: min0 lee

I would prefer J- Kidd over Payton any day. Although he played a great defense henceforth the moniker "The Glove" I never cared for the way he ran the offense, J-Kidd seems to make players around him play better plus he's fun to watch.

But watching him the past few years up close here I tend to think he is a conniving person. Something about him....

first off J-kidd has no rings either. rings are not an indication of who a better player was, it was who a better team was. I watched Payton every year from his rookie year till he left seattle, just about every game, he gets no love being up in sonics land his entire career. he was a great team leader, no doubt abut it

Posted by: min0 lee

True, I loved that Sonics team that went to the finals against the Bulls. I was hoping they would win, but of course you couldn't touch Jordan or it was a instant foul.
Damn..I remember Shaun Kemp played his heart out.

Which leads back to the NBA being fixed!

The Jazz would beat Chicago, The 98 Pacers would of beat Chicago, and the 2000 Pacers would of beat the Lakers! If the NBA was fair of course! I HATE THE NBA! I HOPE IT GOES ON STRIKE! PERMANENTLY!

Posted by: min0 lee

Well I still don't think so. Jordan did get alot of foul calls in his favor....I am a Knick fan by the way.

hell yeah, Shawn really stepped it up that year, he was developing so nicely. He was teh MVP of that finals series IMO, besides Michael of course. that was heartbreaking up here in Seattle, finally get to the finals after 4 years of dominance in the reg. season and we play the greatest team ever..

saying the NBA is fixed is sutpid as fucc, just b/c your team doesn't win games. how can you think the Pacers and Jazz were better than that Chicago team? They did nothing better than chicago, the Bulls defense was incredible, they had shooters, the best overall player in history, the best rebounder ever, one of the best small forwards in our generation, and they had won 4 championships before so they had the experience. If you don't like the NBA don't watch it, but don't run your mouth about it being fixed every timesomeone mentions it..

I was really impressed with Washingotn this year, if they can build on the foundation they have they will be a great team. Jamison is incedible, Arenas came into his own this year, Larry Hughs one of the best defenders and can score. If Brendan Haywood can keep progressing and they get maybe another shooter or an inside physical presence they can compete seriously in the East I think

Posted by: god hand

The NBA is the only sport were u can predict who's going to be in the championship before the season even started. Last years NBA finals was fake as fuck! U want me to believe Detroit beat the Lakers in 5? its so obvious they did this shit to "break up the team" gr81 I find it hard to believe u cannot see this. Take a peak at some sportscentury and watch some of the NBA final games from 1996-2001. Wallace just got fine 20K for acting like one of the games were fixed. Van Gundy for Houston got fine 100K for the same reason.

Yea Washington is really close to being a major contendor. The only weak starter is Jared Jeffries, maybe we'll draft someone to replace him this year. Not a very strong bench either, but starters r amazing.

Posted by: god hand

Did u see what happen to them when they played Miami? There a LONG way from going deep into the playoffs.

Posted by: Flex

PG- Magic Johnson
SG- Michael Jordan
SF- Larry Bird
PF- Bill Russell
C- Wilt Chamberlain

...unbeatable

I think this is the best lineup so far, I see you moved Russell to power forward. Smart move.

Posted by: min0 lee

Kareem Abdul-jabbar at 5
Sir Charles at the 4
Larry Legend playing 3
The great one Michael Jordan at 2
Magic Johnson at point

Wilt wins over Kareem and Russell moved lower will make Sir Charles vanish.

For a young team and it's first year in the playoffs, it was a good series. 3/4 games were close. next season

dude, it DID happen, so get over it. the Lakers weren't that great of a team at all, and upsets happen all the time son. Detriot was the best defensive team in the league and LA couldn't handle that, period! I have seen all the finals in that time span, and all the ones before it as well, whats your point. Sometimes the refs influance teh games and it seems fucced up, but thats part of the game apparently, what can we do about it?

Posted by: god hand

The thing is the Lakers basically had the same team they won 3 in a row with.Thats y I find it so hard to believe. I think since 1988 only five different teams think won. Lakers, Bulls, Pistons, Spurs, and Rockets. So for all the great players who didnt play for these teams were screw!

Posted by: god hand

Miller, Malone, Stockton, Mullin, Perkins, their are so many who deserve to win and it actually hurts when I think about how much these people deserved to win and I just get so pissed off. Because if some of those games fixed, that shows the league has no respect for the players. The NBA always try to help the team the fan wants to win, win.

Posted by: god hand

And gr81, I'm not trying to be funny or silly, I"m actually serious this time.

Posted by: goandykid

if there was a conspiracy, and the nba fixed it "for the fans" dont you think lebron would be in the playoffs?
