Its really hard for me to eat straight cottage cheese...

However I do like these little Breakstones "cottage cheese doubles" that come with a little peach or strawberry stuff to dip from.... are these bad?

If so, what can I get to put with the regular cottage chese to make it bearable?

how about some cinnamon and splenda. Even reg. fruit would be better. That stuff in those doubles things are just like canned pie filling, fruit and a bunch of added sugar.

Alright, once and for all, there is no golden rule that says you have to eat cottage cheese before bed. There are tons of other choices out there. If you dont like it, dont eat it. Gets some casein protein, add milk, some efas and drink, problem solved... eggs work, (make sure you use some yolks), lean meats with efas.... tons of combinations.

as for the stuff your talking about, that fruit that comes with it is sweetened in syrup and contains tons of added sugars, keep away, add in your own fruit if you want, just make sure its fresh.

As Jeepster said - If you don't like cottage cheese, don't eat cottage cheese!

There are many other things you can have -
milk or ff/sf yoghurt
eggs
fish
chicken
lean red meats/game meats
casein protein powder
LF/low carb cheese (you can get cheddar cheese here with 0g carb, 35.5g protein, 6g fat per 100g)

But if you want to choke it down you can try:
Sweet things -
Cinnamon and/or nutmeg
Vanilla extract/extracts
Stevia
SF syrups (eg: Davinci or Atkins)
SF jello or jam
Real fruit
Peanut Butter/Almond butter/Walnut butter
SF/FF yoghurt
Whey powders/protein powders

Savoury things:
Pepper or other spices
Herbs
Garlic
chilli
Low salt soy sauce
Savoury spreads (vegemite or promite goes really well!!)

etc etc

This one time i bought some cheap cottage cheese from walmart and it was all slimey. It had a layer of white slime on top of it too. Just think of slime when you eat it, that should help.

I can't eat straight cottage cheese either. I always throw it in the blender with some water or milk and drink it. You can also throw in fruit (frozen strawberries, bananas) or whey protein and make a shake that way too. Having a blender definately makes it all easier.
