Concussion?

Today during one of my sets, I was pushing extremely hard and on my final rep I felt this feeling in my head that I have never felt before in my life.
It was almost like a blood vessel popping but if that was the case it would feel worse than a bad head ache I would imagine.
Anyone have any idea what I did? my head still hurts, and I want to lie down, but if its a concussion I obviously can't go to sleep.

Maybe I'm just retarded, but I always thought concussions were created by some form of impact. I've had concussions before from football, and immediately afterwards I've always felt like I was going to pass out, and my vision got really funky. Sounds like your brain popped, lol

Yea, I just have no idea what it is and am damn curious..

might as well get it checked out, schedule an apt for as soon as you can although your doctors office is probably closed by now. Doesnt sound like a concussion, but I have no clue what it mite be. Ever try the WEBMD or those online doctor catalogs? Might as well give it a shot, or start this thread on one of those forums.

You think it might be? what would/should I do for it?

I don't know. You are breathing aren't you? It is probably not that bad. You may be just blowing things out of proportion (don't feel bad. I do the exact same thing. I am suh a hypocondiac.).

Yea, I know what you mean. That could very well be it. I just read this on webmd:
When you exercise, or exert yourself physically, the muscles of the head, neck, and scalp need more blood to circulate. This causes the blood vessels to swell, which can lead to a condition called exertional headaches.
Headaches that most frequently occur due to exercise or over-exertion include jogger's headache and orgasmic headache (sex headache). While these may occur in isolation, they are most common in people who have an inherited susceptibility to migraine (one or both parents have migraines).
It has been found that most exertional headaches are benign and respond to usual headache treatments. Some exertional headaches are particularly responsive to Indocin (indomethacin), an antiinflammatory agent available with a doctor's prescription. Still, in order to rule out other medical causes, a doctor should evaluate your headaches.
Thats good news, thanks guys.
