dropping calories

Im a 2600 cal diet. I want to start dropping calories till i hit 2000 or maybe even lower. Do i drop them every week or bi weekly? how many calories do u suggest i drop during this time perioud?

Depending on your goals, 250-500 every 1 or 2 weeks. Usully, the slower the better.

What are your stats (ht, wt). Your goals.... Your current workout?

Im 6'0 weigh about 179. I have a gut even though im skinny everywhere else. I want to lose my gut.

haha. I dont drink beer. But i do eat junk food most of the time. Ive have been cutting down on the junk food recently.

Drop by ~10%. And monitor your weight for a week or two. If you are loosing weight @1-2lb per week. Then stick to that level. When you stop loosing, then drop by 10% again.. repeat.

DONOT keep constantly dropping to go very low. Just go low enough so that you start loosing and then sit there until you stall.

You also need to pay very careful attention to your diet/cals if you want to make this work sucessfully.

Another alternative to just lowering calories is, once you stall and you have already decreased calories a bit, add another day to your cardio or change something about the sessions (eg: add 10 minutes more each day). Just something to kick your body up another notch.
