I'm lactose intolerant and I'm just wondering , which is better soy or rice milk ?

I am lactose intolerant also... I stick with soy milk- but have never tried rice milk. I actually LOVE soymillk. Almond milk was also suggested to me though.

i ve never heard of almond milk, its probably really fattening

I have checked out the nutritional value for almond milk- it is actually less fatty than soymilk, but has less protein as well. The fat content is comparable to the light soymilks I have seen.

I had never heard of almond milk either, until someone mentioned it to me.

Here is the nutritional info for almond milk and soymilk (Silk brand).

Almond Milk 8oz
Calories 70*
Total Fat 2.5 g
Total Carbohydrates 10 g
Dietary Fiber 0 g
Protein 2 g
*
Silk Soymilk- plain - 8oz
Calories 100*
Total Fat 4 g
Total Carbohydrates 8 g
Dietary Fiber 1 g
Protein 7 g

the light version of silk soymilk only has 2g of fat though

I know that there is some (proper) literature out that suggests negative things associated with soy - but don't read anything that mercola writes. He is a quack and his word is not worth the computer it is writtern on!

Check out medline or pubmed for peer reviewed scientific data instead!
