Anyone see either of these?
One particular fight stands out in each of them.
PRIDE`s........Don Frye(sp?) VS Ken Shamrock!! What a fight!!! After Ken talking it up big time before the fight, and trying to start a fight at the pre-fight interview, he got put on his a$$ a couple of times......tried very hard, but didn`t break Don`s leg as he promised.....and I would say got a nasty wake up call that he is no longer THE man........... anyway, Ken lost 2-1
K-1 Mike Bernardo VS Rat Sefo.....Great, exciting fight, with both guy`s giving 110%...Ray his usual tricky self...Mick a little nervous. Ray went down once in the first round, probably slipped, Mick went down twice in the third round and got save by the bell somewhat (K-1 rules are three downs in one round and you loose ).........Once again a decision.....Ray won!!

so kenny went back to fighting,huh. i thought he died.well its better then wrestling,i like watching those things,theyre really intense.

i saw Pride, and i wanted Kenny to break Fryes ankle but it looks as though it was made out of rubber. i hope they have a rematch.

Yeah, I`m not a big fan Of Frye either, but I was hoping to see Ken get FLATTENED by a right!!! Knock some of that ego outta him.
I`ve heard a roumor that Frye has said lets go again, and Ken said no!

I just watched Pride 19, finally. The first thing I noticed is that Pride is becoming very WWF-ish, which is fine, anything to help the sport grow, I just hope it doesn't get too cheesy.
I was looking forward to the Frye/Shamrock fight, but I came away disappointed. I used to like Don Frye in his UFC days when he was lighter and seemed to be a better technician. He's become slow and bulky, like Shamrock. I can't stand Glamrock and I was really hoping Frye would use his hands more. I HATE when fights end up in the "dueling leg locks", it looks so idiotic.
Silva looked good as usual, he's always pressuring his opponents, giving them little time to counter attack.
I thought the best fight by far was Carlos Newton vs Pele. Lots of action, counter attacks, and reversals. Strategy played an important part of this fight. Pele rocked Newton with the knee, but made the strategic error of playing Newton's game. Newton was able to get his bearings and launch an offensive attack.
All in all, I thought it was a great show, the Japanese really know how to treat the fighters and the fans to an awesome show.

Actually, they were televised at the same time here, so from what I saw of it, thats a very accurate summary mmafiter!!

Thanks Kuso Have you ever watched the UCC? They are a Canadian MMA show that's always on Pay Per View. They are a mid level show, but are quickly catching up with the UFC. Jeremy Horn was in the last one, Sean Sherk, Elvis Sinosic, Dave Beneteau and a few other big name guys have been on thier cards. It's cool for me because it's all my friends fighting. One of my students is fighting on the next card in April for the Super Heavy weight belt. I was supposed to fight as well, but now that I F^cked up my shoulder, I'm out.

I`d love to watch it, but being in Japan we get pretty much only the japanese promoted shows over here on either free to air and pay per veiw..................
I do have a channel on my cable I can suscribe to that is 24 hour fighting, but the monthly cost is even more than the porn channels!!!!!!!

At around $300.00 a ticket on the floor ( not ringside ) you might opt to watch the live telecast too! LOL
Not an issue for me....it`s normally in Tokyo and I`m miles away from there!!
