whenever i train my biceps i never feel as if the exercises are working the biceps (more chest or back) this is with cable colum curls and concentric curls, any ideas as to where im going wrong?

thanks

Maybe your using your back, it takes awhile to not use your back but prop yourself up against a post or wall and don't use your back. After awhile you won't need a post or wall, it comes natural.

make sure your form is good.. If your lifting weights that are to heavy you can be compensating by using ure back.. Try preacher curls.

I agree totally. But I do find myself using the back as well when i get futher into the sets. Cheating a little never hurt anyone. It help me get a 5th grade education. Now that still makes me a little smarter then some of these idiots who post questions like, " My friend is 17 yrs old as says a vial a week of deca only will get me where I'm going"

One of the best things for gaining quality mass in your biceps, is to always mix up different angles on your exercises. Use declined positions, cables, and incline positions to hit the muscle from different spots. This will always create a different type of overload on your biceps and will help shock them into growth. For workout routines for your biceps, I found this great resource for free routines with exercise guides:

Best of luck!
