you know PASTA is a great food, all of the Italian soccer players, sport players athelets etc.. all eat pasta...

I remember meeting one of the pro Italian tennis players. he only ate straight cooked spaghetti with olive oil and garlic sauce.. called Aglio'olio might be alittle fatting cuz of the oil but there are ways around that..

also another one is.. Spaghetti napolitana, which is just with tomato sauce ( NOT KETCEP) hahahaha add some chicken in there for preotein..
or some tuna.. experiment alittle..
pasta is great carb food..

Be careful with wholewheat pasta, it tastes like shit; Stick with the white! (And no self respecting Italian in Italy would eat it)

it's not that bad man, I use vinager and allot of spices while I'm cooking it.
I also don't rinse it fully after It's done it makes it hold allot more flavor.

pasta is a processed carbohydrate. food items like whole grain rice, oats, beans, lentils, etc. are far superior. they are all natural, provdie more vitamins, minerals and have more fiber making them lower on the GI scale.

I might eat pasta once a month

I nearly threw up when eating wholemeal pasta, so it's no go for me. You should try black pasta (made with squid ink), now that's really weird , having a plate of black spaghetti in front of you..............

Actually most pasta has a GI range of 35-50...they're just more concentrated than other sources of carbohydrate--for example:

Spaghetti on avg = 41
Spaghetti (WW) = 37
Vermicelli = 35

Anyone else tried brown rice pasta? The nutri looks better that WW (more fiber, at least) and the taste is pretty good!
