Editing Posts After 24 Hours

I think we should be able to edit our posts for 48-72 hours after we post them. Especially those of us who update our diets in our journal entries I think that this would really help out a lot.

this has been brought up before, there should be no reason to edit a post after 24 hours, in fact I think that is too long.

But why?

Posted by: Prince

Let me answer that with a question: why would anyone need to change a post after 24 hours? I see no reason or point of doing this.

It is easier to find the information in the first post. It would be nice to see updated meals, training and everything just in one post.
IMO

Exactly.

Plus some of us don't update our meals until the next day, if we don't have access to a computer, etc.

C'mon Rob, at least make it 36-48 hours, its not going to hurt anything.

Why can't we update our journals anymore? I'm confused what happened?

Posted by: M.J.H.

Again, we can't edit posts anymore? Whats going on?

4-6 hours is more than enough

Posted by: M.J.H.

Actually 4-6 hours is nowhere near enough time. Most Vbulletin forums don't have a time limit and if they do its usually about a week or at least 3 days. Most of the users here that keep online journals go and update their meals later on that day, etc.

Make a seperate post for your meals

who the hell cares? you journal a page and a half and then you have start a new journal anyway.

I would like to bring this up again, sorry. Can you make it to where only journals can be updated after 36 hours? I really do use my journal to tweak my routine, and posting each meal because I don't know when the next time I can post, really makes my journal look like ass, and it makes it much harder to look things up. If you can great, if not that is fine. I was just hoping that if enough people asked, you might consider it.

I had problems with this before too.

we have gone over this before, there is legit reasons for not allowing the post editing past 24 hours, in fact 24 hours is a bit too long IMO.

Haha see! Ignored!

Rob, seriously, cmon, please.

Or atleast respond, I feel like a black man trying to get a taxi.

Look down your crotch for a reality check.

If there is a legitimate reason, I suppose we can always contact a moderator to remove unwanted information.

Is it really 24 Hrs? It seems that about 30 minutes after my post I cannot edit it anymore.

I seems like it is less than an hour.

Please Rob, for the sake of my beautiful journal. Give us 6 hours. Just in the journals. You won,t even have to change the other forums.
I have errors in my journal that are driving me nuts.

Keljowned!

It's definitely less than an hour.
