How late is too late?

Since school is out i usually don't go to bed until about 2 or 3 in the morning, my last meal is probably around 9:30-10 (i get up late in the mornings so i get 5 meals a day instead of my usual 6). Well at around 12 i start getting hungry again, would it be ok to eat something light? as in cottage cheese or something? or should i just suck it up and let it go? or should i shift my last meal to a later time?

it is never too late to eat. you should always eat some form of protein and fat about 30 minutes before hitting the sack. never go to bed hungry, you are just increasing the time that the body is in the nightly catabolic state

you want to avoid sugars before bed. elevated insulin levels have an adverse effect on GH release. the majority of which is released during the first sleep cycle
