Can anyone list what some of these might be?
For Example should that muscle group be soar after the gym, and for a few days after? And just how sore should they be?
Also after working out my chest, I tend to feel a sort of stabbing pain when I breath or stretch in a certain way that usually fades by the next day. It's exasterbated by certain exercises and dips make it the worst. It's located almost directly on the center of my chest, like on the sternum. Is this a good or a bad thing to be feeling?
Thanks.

Some bodyparts get sore and others don't get as sore. My chest, for example, stays sore for 3 days after my workout. My back is only sore for a day and not nearly as sore. I used to get that chest pain too. It went away for me. I got it when I was younger, 16 or so.

good workout = increased intensity from previous workout (ability to lift more)

ok workout = same as previous workout

bad workout = less than previous workout (or same for too long)

soreness does not matter

I would tend to agree with that.

so should I be lifting more each week?

Lift either more weight or do more reps or sets each time, depending on your goals.

u guys must be huge if you can make gains every week or every other week or every other other week...it takes time to pack mass naturally, especially if you been working out for years and years

let me add this is... soreness doesnt mean shit, some parts get sore...some dont
