Tamoxifen Citrate Conversion It is very easy to convert raw tamoxifen citrate (nolva) powder into an oral solution. The following is for one gram, but the process can be done for any amount by simply using 50 ml of alcohol for every gram of powder. Starting Materials: 1 Small bottle of Everclear or Barcardi 151 1 Glass vial with lid that holds at least 100 mL 1 Cooking pot and stove Directions: 1) Add 1g of powder and 50 ml of alcohol to the glass vial. 2) Put the lid on the vial and shake it for a moment. 3) Fill pot with water a few inches high then bring water to a full boil. 4) Remove pot from stove, and set the vial in the water so that the water covers most of the vial but does not submerge it. 5) Every 3 minutes, remove the vial and shake vigorously, and then place it back in the hot water. After about 15 minutes it will be completely dissolved. You now have 50 ml of nolva @ 20mg/ml. Additional Information 3 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon = 50 ml 30.4 mg tamoxifen citrate contains 20 mg tamoxifen (the active ingredient). It takes approximately 1.5 ml to get the standard desired dose of 20 mg tamoxifen. (i.e. 1.5 ml is equivalent to a 20 mg Nolvadex tab).
